No, nearly all Buckeye fans are fully aware of it. The Buckeyes have never produced a real quality pro QB. The best has probably been Mike Tomscak. Just because they never have doesn't mean they never will.

That would be fine, the problem being every single fucking year the rest of us have to hear how the Troy Smiff's, the Ink Me Up Tyrone Pryor's and the Cardale "We aint play" Jone's are the greatest QB's EVAR!111 nonstop and how Cleveland should draft them. Annoying, to say the least.
Those guys have hardly been any worse than the guys we have drafted, fair to say? Smith was actually better than Brady Quinn. Pryor every bit as good as Brandon Weeden. So that blows your theory.
Either way, the saddest part is Cardale is the worst of the bunch. The reason I point to Twitter is because it made National headlines for a reason.
Cardale Jones made national headlines because he QBed the Ohio St. Buckeyes to a 59-0 win over Wisconsin in Big Ten title game, and then to an upset victory over #1 ranked Alabama in the College Football Playoffs. Did you not get the memo that he accomplished these things?
Supposedly a Student Athlete, yet it's a fucking loser that cannot grasp basic English nor compose a sentence in English bitching he has to pretend to give a shit about an Education in his native Ebonics, relishing in the inner city ghetto bullshit. The only "IT" factor is if the guy wasn't a glorified RB he would still be riding a short bus to school and wouldn't have a Scholarship anyone, because his mental ability is less than that of a child. Sadly for him being a QB in the NFL requires SOME Education and SOME brains.

I don't know that it is Urban Meyer's job to make Ohio State into a preparation school for NFL QBs. His job is to create great college teams and college QBs, not pro QBs. Tebow was a great college QB.....and an overrated overdrafted pro QB who could not play.
But last time I looked.....he had two Heisman Trophy candidate QBs sitting on the bench......and who knows if any of them could make a good pro QB, plus a third guy starting that has a chance to win a National championship game.
To paraphrase Sherlock Holmes: {Meyer} is not retained to remedy the {NFL's} deficiencies.

It's a moot point and irrelevant conversation. Cardale won't be going pro even if the Bucks drop 60+ on Oregon. The kid has the physical tools but realizes he has more of his game to work on.
Intermediate touch, eye manipulation, sliding in the pocket a bit more efficiently etc etc.
We can revisit this topic in a year, I'm sure.

JT had more time on campus and experience in the system, showed a little better in camp. Obviously played awesome in the season and
never did anything to warrant consideration going to the 2nd string player.

I'd be very surprised no matter the result of the game Monday if Jones doesn't decide to transfer and I don't blame him. He would walk into day 1 starting at many good D1 programs. With the year JT had it would hard to play Jones over him despite him playing well, or Braxton for that matter if he stays. Cardale won't be that stupid, no one would draft him based on 3 starts in college outside of a UDFA, and that's a HUGE maybe. The kid is also only a sophomore and with one more solid year somewhere could shoot up like crazy in draft rankings potentially.
I do think he's gotta brush off some pounds because his physical comparison to Jamarcus Russell is uncanny and could legit turn people off.

Plenty of NFL QB's were not the sharpest tool in the shed but had amazing careers. I'm not saying he would have an amazing NFL career, but dude has the physical skills. He very well could be the next Jamarcus Russell, difference being he would be a 4th round project instead of a #1 overall investment.

There are numerous, and I repeat numerous, NFL HOFers, Pro Bowlers, franchise quarterbacks, etc. that have had entire careers with similar completion percentages. But, let's just humor your stupid point. So he's completed only 58% of his passes. He's also only started two games - the Big 10 Championship and a playoff game. His first ever start was against the 4th ranked defense in the country. His second against the 12th ranked defense.
Andrew Luck's first two starts for Stanford? He went 34-57 for 3 TD's and 1 INT. That's a completion percentage of 59%. Against unranked Washington State and unranked Wake Forest.
Colt Brennan's first two starts for Hawaii? He went 44-63 with 3 TD's and 1 INT. That's a completion percentage of 70%. Against #1 Southern Cal and #26 Michigan State.
Clearly, completion percentage is a fantastic indicator of NFL performance, as Colt Brennan is now a 8x Pro Bowler and Andrew Luck may be one of the biggest draft busts of all time.

Oh, what's that? He relied on the run? Well, no shit. As you have pointed out numerous times - he was a third stringer. He took 0 snaps with the first teamers throughout most of the year, then gets thrown into the fire in the Big 10 Championship against the 4th ranked defense in the country. Of course Urban is going to give his quarterback a lot of help in the running game. And Cardale still passed for 257 and 3 TD's, including going 3-3 for 56 yards and a touchdown on the very first drive of the game.
