Should be... they showed a AKA a highlight package. But interceptions tend to discount a QB, and rightly so.

Cardale is TBD, but he had one helluva an intro.

Ehh. Jameis doesn't get enough credit as a player because of the interceptions and (moreso) the fact that people hate him. The film they showed of him when he was drafted was absolutely filthy.

I agree. I think he's fantastic. Every single throw they showed was an NFL caliber throw. Every single one.

Well, lets say that ...to me anyway that if you take the drafts of this decade: 2010-2015 Winston is probably the second best prospect at QB after only Andrew Luck. He is about on par with Cam Newton....maybe a little ahead.

    Fair to say?

Much better thrower than Newton. Just as good a competitor. Not as good a runner.

    My exact feelings.

Jameis works up the pocket, Cam works out. Equal arm strength. Both strong competitors with large frames. Jameis with no off-field issues is the closest thing to Andrew Luck we have seen.

To be fair, a pretty good amount of the INT's Jameis threw were because his guys weren't in the right place, didn't make an NFL level play, etc. A good portion of the skill players other than Greene were freshmen last year on the FSU team. I think the guy will excel in the NFL as long as his personal life doesn't haunt him.

Winston have one of the slowest throwing motion coming out i've seen in recent years. You just can't change throwing motion this late in the process. You can teach footwork, where you hold the ball, balance and follow-thru but not the motion. When you look at every aspect of his game, he's no where near Andrew Luck. I know most disagree but Mariota is as close to Andrew Luck as they come. He's going to win ROY.

Which guys? His or the Defense's? 😉

He had baseball wind up in his delivery, much as Wheezy did, but unlike Wheezy's it was gone by his Pro Day. Might he revert under pressure? Possibly for a time, but ultimately it will be gone and what will be left is plenty fast enough.

Something tells me WINSTON will get in trouble fast in nfl do something stupid.

Marcus i think will be the better QB but think will take him several years.

CARDALE lol yes he had great 3 games but lets be real hes being over hyped as the next saviour of the browns heck he might not even start for buckeyes this year.

Is he related to Tony Eason? First Pats QB to take them to the SB?

In SI today, we learned that the Titans never considered ANY trade package for Mariota -- they wanted him, period.

Many people on this board and at other draft grading websites knocked us down because we "didn't" trade for Mariota... even though we never had a chance!

Well, some of those knocked the Browns for not taking a QB in like the 5th/6th round......as if they knew that another Tom Brady was just waiting there

(though I was thinking perhaps they could take Shane Carden....who some say remind them of Brett Favre). But, honestly, those guys are not truly any better prospects than JFF and Connor Shaw. If Shaw were in this year's draft, he may have been taken by someone.

I think people are under valuing Urban Meyers genius system. He made Alex Smith the number 1 pick in the draft, and made Tebow a first round pick. The whole team around Cardale was playing lights out. He may not even be the best QB on Ohio States roster. He still has a lot to prove, but he does throw one helluva deep ball.

I was implying that we've failed plenty in the past for no reason other than our GM's/ coaches/ players/ owners suck. I don't think we've ever actively tanked for a player. If we did, he sure as hell didn't help at all.
