I'm not the biggest Goddell supporter but the job is thankless and not easy. He has to deal with a collective bargaining unit, labor law, public perception, legal system etc. He gets a nice financial package to handle all of this but I dob't think it's the easiest job.

I believe the Patriots penalty should have been even harsher. They should have had their entire season vacated.
Smoking weed is being dumb. Deflating footballs is insulting the integrity of the game. If you cheat to win and get caught, you should pay the ultimate price. I'm not claiming that Brady wins because of his balls. But cheating is cheating. Deflated balls, stick'em, videotaping practices, greasing runningbacks, playcall spying, all of it is cheating and all of it is for bitches. It's much more disrespectful to the game than smoking a little pot.

IMO since the dawn of football QBs have liked the ball overinflated, underinflated, scuffed, tacky, etc. I truly think Brady grabbed the balls and said "too much air, let some out" not "there seems to be .125psi too much in these balls, now I know the league will only allow .025 psi to be removed to be legal but fuck that I'm Tom Brady you take out the whole .125psi".

so let's relate the steroids epidemic to QBs who like balls deflated/inflated to a certain degree. then the league came down with the law and everyone knew the letter of the law.
all of a sudden last year without a warning the patriots get a fine/suspension when there was no real precedent. if the nfl thought this was a big deal then they should have halted things right then and there BEFORE the season to let everyone know that these footballs would be under scrutiny 24/7. as it was do you think their refs or 'ball inflation specialists' where even on the job before the colts got their panties in a bunch?
