I too am excited about this guy. If you talk to Cubs fans, they were really upset about losing this guy. Derosa can flat out hit and play D. I'd like it even better if the Tribe were playing him at 2B, where he is even better on D. But I guess I'll just have to wait until CLE finally moves Jhonny P to 3rd.

DeRosa is a solid player. He will be good but is not an elite player

Besides being a great hitter, Pinella said he was a great leader and probably the most repsected guy in the clubhouse. I got the feeling from Pinella that they made the trade more for Derosa than they did their own organization. So he'd start ever day.

DeRosa did play well in the WBC, here's hoping he can solidfy the 3B position this year and play well.
