I know he didn’t quite work out in Cleveland, but we loved the guy in Cincy and we appreciate the trade. Some of his defensive highlights are the stuff of legend. The behind the back tosses, the nifty glove work, the barehand grabs and pirouette throws, just incredible. I may never see anything like it again on a diamond. It was incredible to witness in real time. He was like a Globetrotter with a baseball. I attended a game over Reds Hall of Fame weekend a few days ago and BP was inducted. Well deserved. Here’s some of those highlights.

Yes sir, AL player of the week. Sal Stewart of the Reds is the NL player of the week with his .700 BA. We call him the 3 mustache man. Check out those eyebrows. They’re basically mustaches over his eyes.

Antonetti and a shit ton of scouts were at his Akron rehab game this week. I wonder if we go full on fire sale and deal Kwan too.  Fuck.

1st Round pick (27 overall) from Texas A&M - Center Fielder and all time career home run leader even with one less season than the prior leader. His season this year was not as good as the prior year, but he will do very well in the Bigs after some time in AAA I'm betting.  EDIT: He also set career records with Walks (169) and Hit by Pitch (15). He also had a lot of strikeouts because opposing pitchers rarely threw him strikes unless by accident. With 2 of their top 3 hitters out all or most of the 2025 season, he felt pressure to reach a lot to help his struggling team this year. Before the 2025 season he was considered a top 3 pick in the draft. The Guardians were lucky to find him this late in the draft.

I figure this is something we can all celebrate. By my math 921 of those were with the Tribe, the most he got with any single team. I count 744 with Boston.
