Survival Tips for Today!

  • 1) If your doctor prescribed you anti-anxiety medicine - take it.

    2) It's okay to exhale.

    3) Think of a good stress management tip if we lose the coin toss or defer.

    4) Hold off on all "Fire the Coach" and/or "Fire the Peanut Vendor" achey breaky rants until after the game has completed.

    5) If you get depressed with what you're seeing - try to remember alcohol is a depressant (outside of Manziel discussions).

    6) Josh McCown is not your enemy.

    7) Treat yourself to powering down some good food, snacks and beverage especially if you worked hard this week.

    😎 Avoid caffeine!

    9) Check to see if there's a local Exorcist in your yellow pages in case you or a fan you hang out with will need one.

    10) Whatever is going to happen is going to happen - try not to take it personal. Pettine or our young players don't WANT to fail during their learning curves. Our OC is a rookie, our DC is a soph, and HC is a soph. We were a 4-12 train-wreck in 2013 before they got here.

    11) Our defense is at least trying to be a bend don't break SOME times especially when our Specials Teams don't follow their 3 and out with a turnover or a roughing the kicker penalty. Keep that in mind all other times so you're emotionally prepared.

    12) Our offense is a work in progress that looked to be progressing last week - even if we face a defense today that is worthy of being undefeated thus far.

    13) To those that think God roots for some of his NFL players and fans over others on Sundays - maybe he's just telling some of us to get our asses back in church?

    14) Despite all our practice with losing over the years, if we should rinse and repeat that today - try to count your blessings that you don't live in a war zone or work in a hospital getting bombed in a war zone. Could always be worse than an inconvenient scoreboard folks.

    15) If it takes more than 1 guy/coach to win a game - it also takes more than 1 guy/coach to lose a game for those that like to find a home for their frustrations.

    16) If this hobby is getting too stressful to enjoy - life could be telling you something better than "hurry up and cry in front of other adults."

    17) Above all, don't lose sight of our common bond shared and why this is the best fan base on the planet!

  • I'll add drink plenty of you favorite adult beverage.

And don't take the Browns in a Survivor pool today. I will be at the game with "The Curse" in tow. Long story, but the wife is around 2-30 attending Browns games since 1986. And the two wins were against the Jets.

True story- we were late getting to a Steelers game- the Browns were winning- as soon as we walked in, the Steelers scored, and went on to win by 20 so something like that.

It's your job to get her so drunk before the game she is refused entry to the stadium

Does she like Texas? Coleen needs a 1 way ticket & a escort to not let her jump out. Your Wife on a round trip should get back after the victory. Have a Great Time!!

  • (18) Remember, alcohol is a depressant, like Mr. Flugels mentioned, - so, if the game doesn't go the Browns' way, this may keep some Type A personalities like Walter and Medman from climbing up on their roof and

trying to fly slowly to the ground in a fit of rage.....try drinking root beer instead. If it's pizza, go for coca-cola if no root beer. If that doesn't work, just stand on a low footstool, so you don't get all of your bones broken..... wait, just try headbutting some pillows....

    (19) If the Browns startle the NFL and are kicking bronco ass somehow... just pretend

you KNEW damn well it would happen, and have a great time !

    (20) Have your food all cooked before the game starts, or you end up drinking coke and chippies,

because Canton Mike ran out of rootbeer, and didn't actually start grilling the Hebrew National

hotdogs until the game was over. I mean, I didn't even have breakfast, and I was out of burgers

because I didn't buy our new 5 burner grill til fall, and I wanted to get a whole summer's worth

of grilling in before winter..... but you don't grill the hotdogs til AFTER the game? Wait, I didn't

get over there til halftime. Okay, grill your hotdogs at halftime, or at least stop off at the grocery

and buy a loaf of bread and a rotisserie chicken and stuff and take it with you, but I didn't do that,

because he loves those hotdogs, and I figured.....oh, never mind.

    (21) These Browns are getting ready to warrant the bringing back of the Kardiac Bricks. Those were great !

But once, long ago during the Kardiac Kids run, I threw one of those at the tv, and my watch flew off

and broke, and put a little chip in the TV screen. dammit. I think that is when I decided wearing a watch

may be cool and all that, but hey, I stopped wearing them. I just made a little sundial, and hung it

off my belt loop. Who's cool now, eh?

    (22) Remember those days when the Browns were mediocre, but they could kick squealer ass in a game,

when they were on their way to the superbowl ? well, Denver may be headed to the superbowl, and

the Browns are a far, far, far better team today that those teams back then. I actually believe the Browns

may win this thing today, but's it's a home game, and I'm going to try the can of rootbeer butt chicken thing in the grill. Hamburgers sound safer...

    (23) It's BROWNS SUNDAY !!!!!! and no, I was just kidding about the sundial.
