Gilbert inactive
-
Bowe inactive as well.
This article calls them both healthy scratches.
-
Other than returns..will he really be missed?
I guess you cant miss what you've never had......
I will say the Browns said we HAD to have Carder, Moore and Bademosi because they were SO amazing at special teams....
Yet...Gilbert has the highest return average we've had since Cribbs AND he leads the team in ST tackles(more than Carder, Moore and Bademosi).....so, Id say we can miss that....
And if you like PFF....they have Gilbert ranked #1 on our team for ST's.....even higher than Lee...
So, they are scratching their BEST special teamer for what?....to see 5th rounder Gaines play?.....so Moore or Benji can take us backward with their kick returns?.....so Bademosi can continue to prove that he's not a CB?....

Justin Gilbert got drafted before Odell Beckham Jr.
THINK ABOUT THAT.
but yeah, lets give this regime time to gel

Decisions like this week in week out make it REALLY hard to trust Pettine and the rapidly sinking ship.

wow. can you negative mother fuckers just go somewhere else?
i gave my girl a reprieve and stopped into doubleday's to catch a snippet of the game. saw landry go out. bartender a stooler fan. felt pretty good just to be tied and in the game as i left 20 mins later.
come home, pour a drink to relax and look through my emails because of biz the rest of the week.........popped in here and i wished i had not.

Personnel management of this coaching staff kinda sucks. Gilbert needs developing. And Mud has it right. You asked for effort out of the kid. He's given you it on SPECIAL TEAMS (not all that common) and you reward him with the IA.

Instead we play bademosi on special teams and he doesn't even know where he is going...

...and play Bademosi & Gaines at corner! Brilliant! Also, Bowe had his only 3 catches in the Cinci game from Manziel. Why not play him?
Mike
IN DORSEY I TRUST -
I'd give Gaines a break today if it weren't for the fact that his garbage play was selected ABOVE Gilbert today. There's no way Gilbert could be worse, but because he's not Pettine's guy we get to watch what we saw today.

Bowe pulled a hammy, that's why he was inactive today....and play Bademosi & Gaines at corner! Brilliant! Also, Bowe had his only 3 catches in the Cinci game from Manziel. Why not play him?

I thought Gilbert was Pet's guy though? That's what doesn't make sense to me

Correction. He was made inactive as "Coaches decision" today. No pulled hammy.
Bottom line is that Pettine's "dog house" has NO exit.

Then at least some part of his anatomy showed emotion.
