OK, did what you just asked us to do...go look at it again.

Here are the things you failed to mention. Sure, a defender is in DA's face...but it is 3rd down and he throws a ball into the line off his back foot. That is a BIG no no. The pass itself...was about a yard off target. It was WAY to the left of Wright. In fact, Suggs never had to move as it hit him right in the bread basket. As for Thomas...he did exactly what he was supposed to do...stay between Suggs and Wright....wasn't his fault the pass was to the OUTSIDE of the intended path of the play.

If DA had thrown the ball into the ground at Wrights feet, we go another play...but instead he throws a bad pass off his back foot off target and right into the numbers of a LB.

Sorry, DA's fault no matter how you spin it. That pass should NOT have been thrown.

And let's not talk about the 2-7 for 6 yards he had after we got to 27 points...or the fact that the K2 penalty was the ONLY thing that prevented him from having an INT 2 drives prior...or the fact that his 28 yd TD to BE was an INT if not for an extraordinary play by BE.

WPB you're doing a nice job trying to find dirt for DA, but in reality both the BE TD and K2 penalty balls were caught by Browns, not picked, and not even near picks. The one to K2 wasn't even touched by the defender and you have no idea if the guy could have turned and made that catch if you want to assume that K2 might not have been there. The other one, as Rich Gannon said, was a nice job by DA of giving his playmaker, BE, a chance to make a play.

Actually, I seem to remember the same play by play guys saying the TD was a poorly thrown ball that BE made an exceptional play on...and that K2 did exactly what he was supposed to do with his interferrance call...protect his QB...on a BAD PASS! But I am sure you were kissing your DA poster when those comments were made.

Funny that you didn't mention that Wright thought the ball was supposed to be on his right (that's the way he turned) but Anderson THREW it to his left.

Why is it every other QB in the league sees Suggs and either eats the ball or throws it into the ground, EXCEPT Anderson?

I know, he's just a victim of unlucky circumstances. Always has been.

Not every play is going to be perfect and exactly as you drew it up. You have to be able to improvise and move your feet to make a play, instead DA makes bad decisions or falls on his butt. You think Romo or even Big Ben would have made that throw?

I find it fascinating that someone would think that a QB who is ranked among the worst in the NFL is being victimized by his receivers and everyone around him.

Just for fun, instead of 31st, where do you suppose DA would rank if his teammates were performing at the average NFL level......25th?......20th?......higher?

About where he ranked last season 9th to 11th.

Ate...I did the figures for all of you before...and it raises him up about 3-5 slots at best...and that is assuming he gets a couple extra TDs out of it. No way he is around 10th even if the receivers caught EVERY pass.

About where he ranked last season 9th to 11th.

He's just trying to get a rise out of us. He's pulling our leg. He's kidding.

I mean, he couldn't really be serious.

    Could he?

    Really? He might be serious?

We need to send Stan on a vacation with some of the girls from the cheerleader thread. He's lost all perspective!

    Revisiting this play again...

    1. Ngata was RELEASED as our RG was headed to the left to form the blocking for the screen

    2. J.Thomas was faced up with Suggs...which is his job...so he could keep him outside. The fact that Suggs ran past him to the outside should have taken him OUT OF THE PLAY!!!

    3. Wright did EXACTLY what he was supposed to...run to the outside like he is going to block Suggs...then turn inside for the screen!!!

The problem was...DA panicked and threw off his back foot to the OUTSIDE...which then negated the shield JT was providing on Suggs, crossed up Wright...who by the way was wide open and behind the block of the RG (remember, the guy who RELEASED Ngata to get into the screen position). We had 4 blockers and only 2 defenders and DA managed to throw it to a wide open SUGGS!!!

Had DA just stepped up past the rushing Ngata...or drifted left a step or two....and let the play develop it would have gone for HUGE yards. But he panicked and did the one thing you never do...

Was this the one and only reason we lost? No, but don't try to pin this on anyone but DA. THIS PLAY was ALL on him!

I just loved on NFL Prime time last night. They were talking about SEA previous longest play from scrimage, which was Dilfer to Robinson, then Dilfer talked about how he then threw an INT in the endzone that he called the worst pass/INT he threw. Then they got to the Browns highlights and talked about how DAs was just as bad.

It's just not working out. I want a change because it's just not working. You would make a great QB for some other team, DA, but for some reaon it's just not working with this team. It's no one's fault, you tried hard and the team tried hard to play for you.

LOL, DA panicked and threw off his back foot (forget about being pile drived by a 350-lb man) ... if he would have only leaped over a tall building, ran faster than a speeding bullet, and stepped up past the rushing Ngata ... and Wright would have actually been already looking for the ball ... and Joe Thomas would have actually pancaked Suggs (oh wait, that's not allowed, he's supposed to just get between him and Wright) ... anyhow, it was a Great play call and would have went for a huge gain!!!

That all sounds complicated, how about we just stick to Braylon Edwards catching the damn deep ball???

... Or someone making a tackle on Rice?

    Applied to baseball;

If our center fielder wouldn't have dropped that pop-up, scoring two runs, and our firstbaseman wouldn't have allowed that ball through his legs scoring the tying run, and then our short-stop wouldn't have had that throwing error for the go-ahead run - our Pitcher giving up that late insurance run wouldn't have lost the game for us.

But he did throw the INT.

You can't change that Stan. He did it. A horrible decision. A horrible thrown. A panicked throw. An all too familiar throw.

Did DA lose the game? Nope. Should we have had him in a position to throw a critical pick-6? No. However, we did and he did.

He's a problem too. Admit it.

You missed the point. I was saying that because of your laughable understanding (or lack of) on how a screen play works, the responsibilities of OL in it, and what the QB is supposed to do when the DL you are intentionally letting threw gets there.

Much like DA can't throw a swing pass, he can't handle a simple screen play. This probably explains why we see little of the screen or the swing in CLEs offense.
