Chargers and Cowboys want Bosa ....trade down to 4 with Dallas so they jump San Diego and grab another draft pick and still take the QB

If that is the case, then the Browns could do the trade with that that was discussed earlier: Trade #2 for #4 and #35....plus like a 6th rounder. We get a QB, a DE, a WR in the top 35 picks.

    I'm on board with that.

No shit Sherlock. I don't even like these. I now do my camping in condominiums.

  • I'm in camp trade back. I know it takes two for a trade, but hopefully there's a partner out there. I'm not sold that any of the QBs are "franchise QB" material........ If we select one of them at 2, and he's the next former Browns QB, we are set back another 5yrs. Give me a couple of safer picks like Jack @ 7-10, then whoever at 32 and of course someone with the pick(s) we got in the trade.

North Dakota State is a long way from the NFL.

  • I'm in camp Hue and the gang know more than me so support them. But also in Camp Wentz with my very small amount of knowledge 🙂

If we pick a QB at 2 and he is indeed the next former QB, we're only set back a couple of years - are we set any further back now than when we drafted Manziel 2 years ago? How about then compared to Weeden in 2012?

That being said, I'd move back a couple of spots to pick up a second or a first.

  • I think the drop off from Goff and Wentz is... the rest are second tier.

It's Wentz... or maybe Goff, at the 2nd pick overall.

  • Tour - geoff schwartz and duke mayweather debating the new chop block and how it affects blocking schemes, and the RB position. Thought you might be interested

    Agree, cal... big drop off.

    Nightmare scenario:

    1. trade down with Dallas
    2. Dallas picks Wentz
    3. SF trades up to #3 and tabs Goff
    4. We tread water another year...

Will give it a listen. From what I understand it should not impact RBs much since past restriction was primarily aimed at them and cut blocks will still be legal...

  • I see Chip and Kaepernick trying to form a dream team. I mean, if you're Kaep, who is the *one* coach in the league you want to come to town? And Chip has probably gone there on the basis that Kaep is in town.

  • You'd think so Chris, but up popped this not all that long ago...

He's asked for a trade as well. I'm saying, he'll stay put and run Chip's O.

Exactly. And the NFL would laugh at the Browns for an entire season or more.

So under this nightmare scenario we would be forced to find the best defensive player in a defensive class? Oh, woe is us. 🥷

  • better to draft the best offensive player in the draft = quarterback.

The draft is deep in DL, lbs, cb's,...

you watch on draft morning, pick #2

Morning - it'll be about 1am for me.

But for once I agree with you calblaze - there's a big drop off in QB talent, it's a WR poor draft, and very deep in DL/DB. It makes much more sense to go QB first and D on day two.

Kind of answered your own question? lol We went 3-13 this season and missing on both of the turds at #22 is one of the reasons why.... Also, a 1st QB off the board, #2 pick is way different than a second selection in the 1st, #22 QB. So much more will be expected from him, it's not even realistic to compare them.

So, not exactly setting us back 5 years, was my point. More like 2.

.95' to 16' ........... Looks like 21 to me 🙁 My point being is if we take one of these dudes at 2, then he better be the next Cam or Andrew, or we'll just keep going around the toilet bowl in circles................ Here's to hoping the jump from NDS to the NFL is a tiny one.

    Gotta love the combine.

Depth perception has shifted lately. This "weak" QB class is now judged to have not only 2 solid ones leading the way, but more Depth than average. It's possible we'll see 4 go in the 1st and likely 7 in the first two rounds.

WRs look pretty lean after the Combine. Ditto the TEs.

OTs look good although a couple of the top ones elude me. More than made up for by some Day 2 prospects. Interoior OL kinda lean, but love a couple.

DTs are the flat out strength of the draft including some outstanding 3-4 DE conversion candidates. Edge are good, but hurt by injuries.

OLs are disappointing. Ragland falling inside and beyond top couple OLBs not much, but I have taken to Schobert.

CBs may be as deep as I can remember. Safeties??? Not so much...

Someone on Twitter said the same thing about the "weak" QB class in this year 's draft.

That same person (I think it was Charlie Casserly) said that Goff graded out better than Mariota.
