Looking at the list, I think it is probably about 50/50 good players vs. not so good players. And you listed everyone.....including flyers in like the 6th/7th rounds who don't generally have good chances. I would say OSU has probably done as well as any school.

Bama, OSU, and probably a few other schools.

People are talking about DeShaun Watson.......what kind of system does he play in college? Pro style, spread, whatever?

bama, osu whoever. what is cleveland allergic to columbus?

  • I think Hue Jackson just did not want any of them where we were picking and they had already found the players they wanted. I am not sure how things will end up this year; but, maybe we should remember that this year's draft class was not that great to begin with. Some of them looked like studs compared to the other prospects this year; but, remember everyone was talking about how this year was low on talent compared to earlier drafts. Maybe, and this is just a wild thought, Hue Jackson and Company think next year's prospects will be better and that is why we did what we did.

Point being that OSU is not pro-style. BAMA is.

HA! yeah it'll suck for you as well getting old. that is if the world is around long enough for that to happen since you little lazy faggots don't have the balls to go protect this country.

when ISIS parachutes into your community college campus (like red dawn) you'll have no where to run, no mommy's skirt to run under and your girlfriend won't be able to fight that battle for ya. yeah you might actually have to put your phone down for a minute to put your hands up while they cut off your head.

    good luck pal.

oh btw, good to hear from ya. when i mentioned you in that post i just picked your name out of a hat of assholes on this board....... so don't feel so special. 😎

When you're done crying - I'm still waiting for your Mo Clarett to gain his 1st yard after Ohio State. Sounds like I better watch the re-airing of "The Longest Yard" to make sure I didn't miss it.

We DID draft somebody from Ohio State within the last 10 years - your boy Brian Robiskie in round 2 in 2009. More Rich4needingmemoryedits?

My favorite Buckeye in this draft was Zeke Elliott, which isn't much different than Urban Meyer's fave. That said, a FO full of Harvard intellect thought why don't we just bulk up this year's draft volume to 14 guys plus add a 1st and a 2nd round pick to the 2017 draft while we address some glaring weaknesses like edge rush, WR, LB and oline depth? As many previous drafts reminded us - 1 guy can either get injured or never live up to the hype or both. If we've longed for a different approach from our FO, adding draft picks while emphasizing the WR position and edge rushers in a passing era as well as adding RG3 at humbled prices plus drafting a QB with an ideal TD to INT ratio and completion percentage of 67.5 in 3 years of starting at USC is pretty good. Just out of curiosity from all this Ohio State hype, how many times in your life have you seen Ohio State beat USC?

Nobody knows why Bosa was suspended but isn't it conceivable that Tunsil, who never once tested positive for marijuana during his SEC tenure, could have smoked it less frequently than Bosa last season? Gee, why would a place like Cleveland need to worry about something like that today? If Bosa didn't wear an Ohio State uniform - you would have been happy to notice the games he brought his C game to wondering if the next Jadeveon Clowney wasn't getting overblown. Willie McGinest wasn't nearly as impressed with Bosa on film as Ohio State homers clinging to their Illinois game. He's good but I don't think asking him to worry about covering the flats more frequently than he's had to makes his transition the piece of cake some are assuming it will be in San Diego. Kam Wimbley had a very good rookie year here when all he was asked to do was worry about sic em and sack em. The next year teams countered with throwing at his flats and guess who never got a 2nd contract in Cleveland? If you want to make Bosa the next the JJ Wattshisname - you put him in a 4-3 with a hand down for sic em, sock em and sack em rather than asking him to worry about back pedaling to a zone coverage. Thinking can cause just enough hesitation to prevent a guy like Bosa from playing fast. Mario Williams will be happy to tell people the difference between a good situation and a bad one for a guy born to rush the passer and I'm sure he can break out the difference in sack volumes to reflect it.

This draft has some exciting Buckeyes in it no doubt. We're going to see which ones were drafted too high and which ones were great picks.

Sure Buckeye players are nice.. But picking for sentimental value is not gonna help your team.. Most of us here understand that. It ultimately comes down to the system a team is running and trust.. That is trusting that player to flourish in said system.. However. Im not really big on the system as I am on "talent".. Everything starts with raw talent. Then, learning how to play the game.

Nobody knows why Bosa was suspended but isn't it conceivable that Tunsil, who never once tested positive for marijuana during his SEC tenure, could have smoked it less frequently than Bosa last season? yep and ohio state had some of the best talent in the draft this year so.......

it's like picking a 2nd stringer from a deep national championship team (whoever/whenever) or some 'sure-fire' guy from a division II school. my bet goes on the 2nd stringer.
