Brady dancing

The Browns Board

  • I heard Brady got a standing ovation?? If this is true then I'm pissed! What is wrong with Cleveland? I will tell you! The players look at the team as a stepping stone to another more successful team! They look at their time with the Browns as doing time in the minors before getting called up.

TJ WARD, MACK, SKRINE, SHEARD, SHWARTZ etc

Until somebody changes the losing culture and spends some money nothing changes. Status Quo until forever.?

Brady got a standing O because about a third of our season ticket holders sold their tickets to Patriots fans. The ongoing Brady chant was deafening. These fans from the foreign country of New England gobble his knob like a cult. He could murder a ref during the game and they'd proclaim his innocence. Back to the standing O and chants ,that's on on us. For those of us there what should we have done?? Started a riot? To those who were arrogant I liberally shared my verbal and gestured fuck you's. I wish we could at least get folks to sell to other Browns fans first. As much as we have sucked I've never had an issue finding someone to buy mine that I know and who are Browns fans.
  • There were probably a number of New England fans in town because of the Red Sox playing in the MLB playoffs here......though, to be honest.....did anyone see a large number of Red Sox fans at The Jake these pas few days? (yes, I still call it that)

Of course, it could be that this country is just turning into a FRAKing pile of shit. Knob gobblers slurping on Patriot dick because they have been winners, just like they did with the Steelers.

Lack of character, integrity, courage, and loyalty.

A lot of these types likely would have jumped to support the Nazis if they thought they were going to win WWII. That is the kind of character I am afraid a number of our younger people possess.

  • He ran for a first down and got out of bounds around our players and coaches and did some kind of jig. Nobody on our side did or said anything to him, I'd have liked to have seen someone stand up to him there, we're too soft

Seems to me the officials penalized Pryor for something way less than Brady did near the end of the Baltimore game which sealed the deal for Baltimore. I'm sooooooooo impressed with the consistency of the officiating this year. If you play for the right team - you can taunt or drive the opposing QB into the turf. Remember when the league pretended they wanted to police the driving the QB into the turf way more closely? IIf anyone puts that same hit on Brady that was done on Kessler, it's a flag, fine and possibly a suspension. Way to go NFL!!!!!

That's my big bitch Tom, if the NFL is going to lay down a set of rules make them apply to EVERYONE!

Does no one care that Tom Brady took a bow in the home of the Browns? He was sent back out on to the field to take a bow?

Or, that Brady danced on the Browns sidelines, and no one did a thing?

Or, that the Browns took a knee on the last play?

That's NOT a winning culture. That last play should have been a real play. No excuses. You're losing, you do whatever you can to end on a good note. You don't roll over.

(a "no one cares about this thread" response is too easy)

    1920, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1954, 1955, 1964. They all count for what its worth.

And FYI there are a large number of NFL teams/cities who neither have the number of titles Cleveland does, nor a title sooner than Cleveland:

Cardinals: none since 1947...and none even in the last two cities they have been located in: St.L/Ariz.

    Chargers/San Diego....none since 1963

The "Los Angeles Rams" have not had a title since 1951....(though the Rams had a title in St. L)

Houston....has not had a title since 1961 and two teams ago

Oilers/Titans.....franchise last won as noted above in 1961

Minnesota Vikings....nothing since they began as a team in 1961

    Eagles....nothing since 1960

    Lions, nothing since 1957

Also: All of the following teams, while having won since the Browns have...or been created since the Browns last won, have NOT won a Championship in the living memory of most of the people who patronize this board:

    NY Jets 1968

    KC Chiefs 1969

Cin. Bengals 1968 franchise born, not titles

Atlanta Falcons 1966 franchise born, no titles

    Buffalo Bills 1965

    Miami Dolphins 1973

Even the Bears title in 1985...one would have to be about 40 years old to remember it as a kid.

    And more recent teams

    Carolina Panthers

    Jacksonville Jaguars.

    Houston Texans

So, point of fact....half the league hasn't really been any more "awesome" than the Browns where it comes to winning championships. At least we have a herd of them in our past...

I have seen him scream in the refs faces for 15 seconds and them do nothing to him. Even accounting for this pathetic four game suspension he has always had over protection in my eyes. I hate him, Kraft and that whole organisation!

  • He did the Usain Bolt pose. Because he ran for a 1st. Honestly he was kind of poking fun at himself because he isn't that fast. Or he was rubbing it in that our defense couldn't catch him...

It was a bit of both likely......he was poking fun at himself....and our defense is so pathetic that, no, they couldn't catch him. Just like they couldn't catch anyone else on that team.....and just like they couldn't tackle a ham sandwich. They were pathetic.

    1. As long as there is more than one crew, there will be inconsistencies. Your Pryor-Brady example is a poor example.
    2. The "driving" the QB to the ground rule is still on the books. The hit on Kessler was nowhere near the criteria to qualify as a foul. Hightower did not even wrap Kess up.

Exactly... Next time stop him short of the line to gain. Problem solved...

Because each year you move away from 1964, and post another 4-12, you lose fans. Patriot fans invaded First Energy Stadium. Some may say fans aren't what they used to be but with as little success as this team has had recently, who can blame them.

Well, its the old "Sleeping Giant" theory. Like the Indians who were bad for so long......then when they got good went and broke the all time record for consecutive sellouts.

When the Browns get good....and I expect that to happen soon and under this coach, the rest of the world will be in for a shitstorm of Brown and Orange. (I just hope they go back to better uniforms)
