I called it before the season started that some of you wouldn't make it halfway through before..

The Browns Board

Calling for Jacksons job. Every fucking year. Every god damn fucking year. That is way worse to me than watching the Browns lose. Watching a fan base that cannot grasp reality and starts making life ugly for the organization not half a season into a rebuild. Can we finally just accept that there is no fucking Harry Potter cunt that's gonna come in here and turn anything around. We can't at least ackowledge the strides the offense has made. We could have won a game or two in the beginning of the season if the defense hadn't given up 400 pts. Just let it be. Cause the reality is that no matter who comes in here, there's gonna be alot of starts and stops. This is what happened in Cincy, they looked like the were building something but then it had to torn down and rebuilt..this is the natural progression. But as much as we like to sit here and lampoon some of those earlier years the Bengals had, at least they made it into the playoffs. And if they're now gonna retool, than fine...the fan base there had some good competitive games they got to enjoy.

We're never gonna have that if we keep telling the organization we want an overhaul every god damn fucking year. Otherwise we're gonna be 1-2 win team year after year after year. Let the process take it's time.

Thats because he has earned it. He has won no actual games nor exhibition games and I understand that you feel tricked by the media and the NFL saying he was the top coach available and would finally bring a competitive NFL team to Cleveland

Funny thing is they are not saying that now are they. We have been regressing since game 5 here and it has only gotten worse in games 9-16.

Hue Jackson HAS TO TURN THIS AROUND and that is the bottomline. If we had 2 wins right now we wouldn't even be talking about this

but Instead we are 0-10 and I witnessed the worst COACHED game of NFL Football I've seen in YEARS Thursday. If this continues without question he should be released and NO ONE would blame us. (though i still hold out hope for a new DC an actual OC may be enough but i doubt it) This has been brought on by Jackson not the fans being impatient.

At 0-10 he needs to own his record and so do we

Also i have no idea what your talking about with cincy but marvin lewis has had 11 winning or equal seasons out of 14 with his first 4 seasons being winning we also DON'T look to be building anything

every Sunday i put on my browns jersey and browns hat and watch the game with the hopes of seeing them be competitive I don't even expect wins anymore just competent football. and I have been deprived of that for most of this year

I assume that's a branch off of my response of successful year 1 coaches in the other thread? Well, let me go fill this coffee cup and give that a look over.

Here's the thing. We are not heavily entrenched with this coach yet. He's only been here ten months or so. If as an organization you've already come to the conclusion that 'this guy is NOT what we thought he was' then cutting bait early might not be the worst thing in the world.

Coaching continuity is something we sorely need...but you've got to have the right type of guy first.

I will be happy to post the list of people that will "blame us" if we can Hue. Bout half the country thought we Retard for firing the last two coaches but you think they'd be congratulating us this time? You're an idiot, Caine. Find another hobby til 2018.

Clevfan, spot on. These people are pathetic.

About half the country? So that means more than half the country thought they were right?

I don't understand how you tolerate losing so well. Unless your case is full of participation trophys

No, you really don't. And "the right type of guy" will not be remotely interested in coming here.

    .

Oh no it would be the worst thing in the world. A decision that could very well lead to the team moving again. Not next year or the year after. But letting hue go would lead to a progression of d3 coaches or even d4 coaches, if that exists. The joke we already are would triple. After 3-4 one and out d3 triple option windowlickers, team goes bye bye

You know what though, i bet that could work in cleveland. I mean look how good it works for air force. Pryor could totally run the triple op defenses will be stymied, none if em seen it since pop warner league

I understand how many coaches we've fired. It's bad. But that's not the right reason to stick with a bum.

Stadium is leased through 2029 so we wont move until atleast 2030 even if we go 0 and 208

At this point in time he needs to stay a minimum amount of years so that good coaches might be interested. If he really does turn out to be just another bum, it has to be proven to other potential coaches that even the bums get a fair shot. And I guarantee those guys will not think of themselves as bums and will believe they get the time it takes to be miracle workers.

Bottom line. We're stuck for the duration 3-5 years.

Ha, you think "the right type of guy" is just going to be obvious? We can put Ghoolie on the search committee, LOL. Hue was about the hottest HC prospect out there when we hired him. Remember? He had one thing all the other guys in the Haslam ownership didn't have- previous HC experience.

Jimmy barely had his feet wet as Browns owner when he sent Shurmer packing- a move I approved of. Then he gave Chudinski one year, (not enough IMHO). Pettine got two seasons, but he was saddled with that albatross Johnny Football, and a clueless Ray Farmer.

So now it's on to Hue, Sashi, and Depodesta.Time will tell if this is the right move- and that's what's going to happen this time. As others have said- if Jimmy blows it up yet again after an 0-16 season, he's only going to get D III coaches and recycled FO types looking for a paycheck.

Nobody wants to see Hue fail. But he has shown us that he's either inept or just plain over his head. The game against Baltimore had to be the worst Browns loss in recent memory. Two timeouts in the first five minutes! Replacing the quarterback with a guy who was sacked three times for losses, intercepted, his balls were batted down and the game turned into another comedy act. This time on national television. I'd play a healthy Kessler or Hogan every time before an old journeyman backup with injuries.

Hue made an ass out of himself, Cleveland and the team!

Sorry to criticize an 0-10 team after 55 years of being a fan. Hue is not what we thought he was. He's another Haslam lackey who wanted a cheap win and it backfired.

I didn't like the draft and I didn't like the third round pick to get Kessler. But all of us were rooting for Cody Thursday night. He didn't do anything to get benched. What does that say about coach Jackson? Is he some kind of psychic Genie? What's worse is his post game bullsh*t.

    He stinks!

    We could trade Hue...

SF might be willing to deal Chip to us.

Then Jimmah would finally land have his first, true HC love... four-years later...

can't blow it up. we know the tank is in and a lot of us knew before the season.

but there has to be a measuring stick (?). there has to be a deadline. the this has to be done by then date. when is it for hue and the FO? another year of garbage talent ain't gonna cut it. i mean a lot here bitch about those who bitch BUT to a large extent i think most of us 'bitchers' have held it together quite nicely so far. but week number 6 next year the kettle on the stove will have been on for hours and the steam will be making that piercing noise…...

Nah mik- it's week #7. that's when we have the potential to tie Tampa's record for consecutive losses.

I honestly don't see the Browns winning a game this season. If they do, big surprise. As Ag said after week 8, that's when we should have started seeing some improvement with the young 'uns. I haven't seen anything dramatic yet. As a team they've regressed. Hue pulling Kessler because supposedly he wanted Cody to take some chances. I hope he was really happy watching Josh take chances while we were getting blown out in the second half.

    Prophetic Cleve comes through again.

Yeah you called it...you also predicted Pettine wasn't going anywhere, and that no way Trump would become president. So go ahead and use this rare opportunity to puff your chest out.(please no one turn this into a political discussion)

I believe Hue can turn it around.

    Eventually.

But so could have Eric Mangini turned it around. Eventually. Problem is that browns fans want a winner now. Been waiting way too long, and wanting a winner now is understandable.

Coaches don't want to come here. The coaches that do know full well they are taking a risk, and have evaluated the risk/reward possibilities.

The reward is of epic proportions. If they are "the one" that has finally succeeded in Cleveland, the one that brings back the once rich tradition this team once enjoyed, then that coach becomes a God in this rabid football town...and highly respected throughout the league.

The risk is that if he fails, his head coaching opportunities go down the toilet...his future is relegated to some assistant or coordinator job.

Kinda like how Cleveland ruins quarterbacks.

If I'm not mistaken Romeo Crennel was the only fired browns coach to become a head coach elsewhere....but not immediately. He was a coordinator first and kind of fell into the position because he was already there.
