They've COMPLETELY pissed away a 3rd and 2nd round picks in back to back drafts on completely useless qbs who absolutely 100% suck and have no future.

Wasting a third and especially a second round pick on dreck qbs with no possible upside is not a good sign.  These arent 6th round throwaway picks.  It's a second and third rounder.  Hell we just paid however many million for a second round pick from the texans, so don't tell me they arent worth good money.  And for them to piss it away on Deshone freaking kizer, whose own coach talked bad of him, is a very poor sign....

    waste waste waste

agreed, but my post goes to counter those who say "you cant look at the record since we are building something".  Well if we can't look at the record, we damn sure can look at those lossed opportunities during a supposed build.

    That's clearly photoshopped, relax.

Let's actually break down what you're saying here:

Those picks are as following: Ogbah, Nassib, Shon Coleman, Kessler, Kizer, Ogunjobi

-Ogbah is a starter who in one and a half seasons has racked up 78 tackles and 7.5 sacks. That's not world beater numbers, but not bust label either by any means

-Nassib as a rotation bench guy in the same amount of time is at 27 tackles, 3.5 sacks. A little meh, but not HOLY Sheet bad either

-Coleman is the starting RT whose name you're starting to hear less and less often. in the world of OL, that's a good thing.

-Kessler is a back-up QB in the league, with low starter upside. I get it on this one, but he's gonna be in the league for a while I can assure you.

-Kizer doesn't look the part, but too early to really call on that

-Ogunjobi is flashing some great things, and slowly getting the reps.

Is that really awful? Do you really expect 4 HOF players or a franchise QB? The fact of the matter is those players have yielded two starters, a rotation player, a promising rookie tackle, and two shots at franchise QB's that aren't panning out. They are batting 1.000, but that's not a type of list that makes me throw up either.

It's pointless to complain about them now really.

We don't know the results of this experiment yet.

maybe they'll produce a playoff caliber team

or maybe they haven't a clue what they're doing

maybe the variables in football are way too different than the variables in baseball for moneyball to work

or maybe we dominate next year

All that...and 25 cents gets you a juke box song.  It doesn't get any wins though....because ya need a good QB to get wins.  Other teams know that.  That's why they offered US a trade.

I can imagine the Eagles & Texans war rooms on draft day.   "Guy's, we're screwed.  No QB is gonna fall to us.  -  But boss, why not call the Browns.  -  Huh?  They need one as bad as WE do. - But boss, THEY don't know that!"

Most folks were applauding the second round gamble on Kizer saying that that was a spot in the draft where it made sense.

True...and most also thought he needed a year of "seasoning" not to be thrown in as the day 1 starter.    Certainly not to be yanked in and out of the lineup all the fucking time.

Hue is a desperate coach. Desperation leads to overthinking himself. Doing the same thing in the redzone too.

He was a good 2nd rd pick assuming he could sit for a year or two,  not an NFL ready qb ready on day one, especially on a team with 2 other almost rookie qbs.

It's way too early to say Kizer is trash. Trending towards gate to say but this team has nothing. On top of that injuries.

True.. but ya can't change what we all saw in Camp thru-out the Pre-Season..It was Brock or Kizer..imo Kessler's new diet- adding bulk- to increase arm strength down field may have lost some of his accuracy..But Kess may now be catching up with his new body to arm rotation? but with the new OL? Kess with no pocket mobility is a cooked... DucK!!

I have lamented this all along the way. Drafting Tim was the right thing to do. Stopping the QB quest once he busted was the problem. You simply don't pass on the QBs and WRs we have passed on and take meaningless schidt like Garrett, Winslow and Thomas. But hey, you geniuses know better.

Damn it, we a re building for the future

Damn it we are stockpiling draft picks

Damn it, this year's QBs suck................. NEXT year is when we want to take a QB. Our FO is really smart by waiting.

Damn it, we are managing assets....................................

Damn it, the average fan is just not able to understand what he is looking at

Translation? All I said about this turdbag team is coming to roost...................just as most surely does each and every year.

    Ever? Really?

Here I thought we'd wasted a couple o' three 1st round picks on QBs since Couch.

i wonder if they'll take a QB first round next year. If we trade down, i'll definitely be perplexed.
