  • JM's on-field improvement has definitely played a role in my view.

And sorry 'bout the Gilbert jab... "just tryin' to keep it lively."

Yea I mean, he played a solid game in his start this year and won. Wasn't world-beating, but it was solid.

Not sure why everybody's so quick to trade him, cut him, etc. Had this been somebody without the name recognition, it would have been a non-story.

So letting her jump out of the car is a better alternative? Ok.

    Absolutely. He ain't her babysitter.

The feminazis always crack me up. That you actually believe Johnny wouldn't have received the same or more criticism had she jumped out and seriously injured herself is HILARIOUS.

  • Tell me where Cowher is wrong:

"I've watched Johnny Manziel now for a year and a half and I think he's a backup quarterback at best. And he's a distraction off the field," Cowher said on The NFL Today. "And listen, I believe in second chances but after the second chance, to me there's a zero-tolerance policy. He can't put himself into the position he put himself into.

"I would ask for his release and I would do it for this reason: in that locker room players want accountability ... and that's the message that needs to be sent right here, that you're accountable for your actions both on the field and off the field."

Who says he's not accountable? Not all discipline is public. People should mind their business and let the team take care of it.

  • No charges were filed either in a similar type incident just last month involving our former offensive line coach but the Browns wasted no time parting company with Moeller.

Terrible comparison. Why do you desire to hurt your team so badly?

    Just listened to Pett's presser.

    A. He's dumb for letting the questions drag on so long.

    B. Given A, it's pretty easy to see why Pettine was so annoyed (and he really wasn't THAT annoyed).

    A. That's not Pet. Some of the questions were from different angles and deserved an answer, even if it ended up in part being "not going to get into that."

    B. Agree... not all that annoyed... at least not for the first 10 minutes or so. But the question about the locker room not being held accountable clearly stunned and hurt him. He fought to believe it was not true, and it likely is not true, but it hurt. After this and by the end of the JM segment, however, he was annoyed. His sarcasm in reaction to finally being asked a game question showed it. From there it quickly faded.

I'd agree with all that, but he's got to learn to ignore the stupidity. That accountability question was ridiculous on its face, thought not as much as the Moeller comparison.

  • Its sad that this is a legit question in year 2

  • I don't think it's a legit question, but that's just me.

The circus Manziel has brought to Cleveland has hurt this club. It has to end.

  • pretty sure its just you. but funny thing is you've expressed your opinion on him many times.

Well it's been a ride. Last year I was pretty much 100% opposed to him. This year I was leaning Johnny after week 2, but since we've seen Air McCown I've been happy with Pett's decision to keep playing McCown.

But calling him a healthy scratch, cutting him, etc. over a TMZ story I'm not supportive of. His teammates like his progress, I've liked his progress (from what I've seen).

He's a 22 y/o first round QB who has shown progress and has shown he can win in the NFL, I'm not interested in parting ways for a 7th round draft pick (or no pick)

How? Mind you, annoyance does not equal any actual hurt.

And even if that were true, it doesn't give you the right to make stupid comparisons of Moeller which ignore all the facts of the case.

You're right. We totally weren't the laughingstock of the NFL before he came along.

How dare Johnny Manziel sully the near-perfect reputation of the Cleveland Browns.

    Facts of this case:

"This time it was his Oct. 12 fight with girlfriend Colleen Crowley, including her admission that “he hit me a couple times” and “hurt me several times” as Manziel recklessly sped along Interstate 90 after a Victory Monday afternoon of drinking."

  • She has no credibility. Her claims are backed up by nothing. Again, why do you desire so badly for it to be true? Why do you desire to hurt the team?

And I guess you're conceding this event does no tangible damage to the team?

apparantly little chonnie learned about as much in rehab as he did with the browns playbook last yr...dude does not understand alcoholism. Everyone is already wanting top notch compensation for this guy...If you are the owner of any franchise, would you want him. I think you have to be out of your mind to give up a high draft pick for a relapser..Remember, he did say he had a drink or two after he got pulled over...

Her claim that he hit her is a fact of that case.

Another fact of the case is that the police conducted a physical assessment and deemed those claims to be untrue. The only mark found was an abrasion on her arm that aligned with Manziel's story that he grabbed her arm as she tried to leave a moving car.

But picking and choosing facts is always cool too.

from what i heard, she has a clean record...she's pretty damn smart, and little chonnie is still a drunk...hmmmm...

Welp, I would respond, but this post is completely worthless.

Another fact is that she was wasted. Another fact is that, if this were a court of law, her claims wouldn't even be admissible because she was drunk. Another fact is that actual physical evidence is far more credible than statements from a drunk girl. Do you agree or not?
