Wow... another reason can't see? Does not know where to look.

There is no problem with extending plays.

The problem comes when the pocket is left out of preference and an inconsistent ability to recognize available plays from inside it. Plays are being missed. The pocket is being left prematurely.

    How'd I do?

You did well 😉 ......and you know I agree....

And just saw those stats on Johnny and Josh and how long they hold the ball.....WOW.....pretty much lends to the idea that JF isnt seeing it or able to get the ball out quickly...

Funny how many say 'josh holds it too long'....yet, its Johnny who really holds it....(4th longest in the league)

It's a fair article. And I do think that Pet & his OC are doing a good job helping him see how to become a Brees or a Wilson. .....Part of why I'd rather see him in Seattle as an understudy in a "startover".

Keep seeing him compared to Brees, Flutie, etc......but, other than being short, what else is similar??.....dont see any real similarities in their games, approach, playing styles, etc....

Seattle?....Would he want to go where he KNOWS he cant start......ever?.....I doubt it.....

And after watching them drop Harvin like a hot potato, I highly doubt that Carroll(or Seattle) would tap another distraction.....especially one who's second string....

Johnnys Second half would have looked a lot better if a certain someone didnt drop every ball that hit his hands

This is true......LOTS of drops in that game.....5 actually(very very difficult to overcome)......especially when you're only a 50% passer to begin with.....

Hartline and Gabe did Johnny no favors....hopefully they make up for it this week.....

The one passing related thing that JM clearly has over McC is a quicker release, but means nothing if you cannot identify a target.

Drops started with Benji letting ball get through his hands and hit him in the facemask. Happened fairly early on a 3rd and long when JM ran left and hit (literally) Benji coming back on the sideline. It set the drop pattern for the day... ball getting on the receiver faster than he was used to. However, a couple of the later "drops" were on plays where something other than a fastball was called for.

Just got to say Flugel is talking a whole lot of sense to me in my newbie status in this great game! But the great thing is there are so many variants to the game that it caters for lots of opposing view points. I'm enjoying this thread.

Haslems plan is to draft shorter linesman.

Right....I was actually thinking about the previous weeks game and had it in my memory that Hartline dropped several after Johnny came in.....but, looked back and all 3 of his drops were all on McCown....

If you can't see that, If you can't smell that you're done.

He's on his ass every play and I know he isn't that good but at least he plays hard unless the rest of these millionaire jerk offs.

    Who cares. He sucks.

  • W wargograw wrote on last edited by

Not the only one. But he's definitely in the group that does, much to the disbelief of many.

  • tiamat63T tiamat63 wrote on last edited by

So does Tim Tebow. What's your point?

  • W wargograw wrote on last edited by

Put him in the shotgun and actually let him throw it, see what happens? Over 80% completion percentage.

    Johnny looking very decent today

  • BrownsFan4EvrB BrownsFan4Evr wrote on last edited by

Like him or not, he's played very well today.

He's been great. That was a TD! Come on Johnny!

    That's 7th grade crap, Erving.

  • DeputyDawgD DeputyDawg wrote on last edited by

A shame about the rest of the team including some of the play calling!

  • B bringbackbrownie2 wrote on last edited by bringbackbrownie2

Why does Erving think 1st and 11 is better than 2nd and 2? He is terrible. Farmer should be gone tomorrow along with oniel.

First and goal inside the one, and zero points! Somebody needs fired!

He sucks. Maybe instead of playing with heart he could incorporate his brain, eyes and arm? You mistake missing reads then running around like a circus monkey for heart.

    Thank you, Mrs. McCown.
