I will be reposting this in every single thread where someone asserts that the O line is terrible.

The O-line is the second best in the league.

The problem with the run game is not the O line.

If you think otherwise, you're objectively wrong. If being wrong is your thing, don't change!

Weve given up the most sacks, we can't run the ball, we lead the league in false starts and are like top 5 in holds. PFF cant rate offensive line play obviously.

Reasons have been given as to why the OLine isn't the only requirement to avoiding sacks and a consistent run game.

Like I've said I love Josh McCown. The guy has balls.

Good to know that after a couple weeks rest and healing if we need him he's there.

Now get out there and kick some ass Johnny.

As much as I want the Browns to win, Joey Bosa at the #1 pick is very intriguing.....

  • @unsympathetic said:

You've got zero backing that up. Your words mean nothing.

Unless and until you show something MORE accurate and MORE applicable than pff's methods, they are correct.

They are so wildly inconsistent with their rankings that is why they are bullshit. I can come up with a system where I throw darts at numbers if that makes you feel better.

There are so many teams tied with us, no way we get #1 pick

Pet just went puppet strings. We get a presser Monday that tells us we will have to have a conversation on our starter & JM was not cleared yet by NFL on protocol list? To 16 hours later. JM announced starter Rest Of Season. Few hours later, NFL announces JM cleared. First I believe the announcement forced the league to make a to long awaiting decision that lead back to his rehab & a list? But with this creed in the FO to put butts in the seats, why the hell not go back to plan A? JM does that not Josh? OK JM we our going into a bye don't get caught in a bad deal, or else? There is no way I see any changes from Pettines staff to make anything better to favor JM Game when they call it he went off script..

Browns are only 2-8 team in the NFL, if the season ended now, we would have it.

You are right lets go 8-8!!! I love the 17th pick!!

  • When Josh Gordon comes back next year, Johnny will have his bearings, took his lumps and Good ol' Josh Gordon can run right underneath those bombs ala Antonio Brown. Keep Benji, pick either one of Hawk or Gabe and cut Bowe. Keep Hartline. Pick up another WR threat in the Draft. Get a FB. Tryout Trent Richardson and see where he's at, if he's gotten better we could double-dip in the draft.

Good god I was with you right up till when you went off the mental rails with Richardson.

There are numerous examples of how wildly inconsistent their ratings system is. Rainman, I will get back to you when I have an equally dicked up system that can fleece analytics dorks.

Now it gets real. He has 6 games to show the Browns and Browns fans that they no longer need to worry about the QB position in the future. Get close to the 95 rating week to week for those games and that should do it. Difficult to accomplish with such a depleted (Gabriel and Hawkins under concussion protocol at the moment) and smallish receiving corps, but Josh was able to do it so he should too. And who knows what the fuck is up with Bowe, injury or doghouse or just there for the check.

    Bowe seems slow. Seriously slow.

One thing to consider with Manziel is, for McCown he had no issue with the smaller receivers, but is 6'6" and could see them clearly; Manziel had no issue with bigger receivers because he could see them above the linemen. But Small QB, small receivers, could be an issue. Just an idea. Guessing we'll see lots of Hartline, Benji and 12 formations.
