Where the hell did this Terrelle Pryor talk come from?
Let's give Akili Smith a shot, while we're at it.

I won't be shocked if the Browns draft another QB fairly high- and it won't be Mariota.
I'm hoping that Chipie is patient early, and then as Mariota falls to 12, I hope he loses his patience and offers up a boat load to us.............. If we take Mariota (I like the kid) I'm going to turn off the TV, and call it a Browns fan career.

... and at the bow of that boat would be... Sam Bradford.
what i've seen post college career of mariota i like. i like a lot. but as the GM of the browns i wouldn't look at another QB until the 2nd or 3rd.
get the run stoppers and the pass rushers. then get the fancy boys.
Liking a QB prospect a lot and passing on him makes zero sense, mik... especially in the light of how difficult it can be to add a prize QB last.
If MM is there at 12, we take him... and bid a fond farewell to D Bone... gonna miss him come Sundays in the Tavern...

oh no doubt if the person drops to us........
f the QB droppin, i want to see shelton drop there or even ray. my best draft scenario get a NT and a LB picks 12 and 19. feel out the QB race. if you can grab a WR/TE with the first pick in the 2nd blam. if not OL, then the next pick grayson or hundley.

My theory too.....QB's are too rare to play around with....if you think he's "the one", you dont pass......and, if possible and you are certain he's the one, then you go get him.....
Conversely, if you have 2 first round picks and you desperately need a QB....then go ahead and pick a Corner back with your first pick and wait to pick a QB with your later pick....that means you didnt REALLY think the QB was "the one"....just taking a swing......

Pryor?......the BIG difference between Pryor and JFF is that Pryor has already proven he cant play in the NFL ....comparing their first game is a pointless exercise that means nothing.....
yes....Jff's off to a good start to do the same.....but still has a chance to turn it around......

Pryor has played only one full season, with one of the worst teams of all time, including a offensive line where none of them could even hold Mitchell Schwartz jock strap, I'm not saying Pryor is good but I am saying he is a flashy player that can actually be flashy while Manzeil is a flashy player that can do nothing.

How is that homerism?

In what way do you quantify Pryor "actually" being "flashy" and Manziel "doing nothing"? The 5 quarters you've seen him play in?
I don't totally disagree with you that Pryor should get a real shot somewhere. You just sound a little ridiculous saying that a guy who is probably the flashiest college player of all time is "a flashy player that can do nothing" while a guy who was far inferior in college without any sort of great NFL record "can actually be flashy."

Pryor is actually flashy becouse right from the get go he was making plays that we all thought Johnny would make. I'm not sure what extent you mean "without any sort of great NFL record" Becouse Pryor has the record for longest TD run for a QB.

The minute someone mentions Terrele Pryor a thread dies.
It used to be Troy Smith.
These guys were given up on early in the NFL for a reason.

Except Pryor is still on an NFL roster, he hasn't been given up on.

He's on his third roster.
Because he is not starter material.

He would still be on the Raiders but he demanded a release

He wasn't released, he was traded to Seattle for a bag of cashews,
Then Seattle cut him.
Then the Bengals, Eagles, Giants and Redskins worked him out but passed.
And now KC signed him January after he sat out the entire 2014 season with no one picking him up to even hold a clipboard.
Can we move on?

He asked out of Oakland and they traded him for a 7th rounder.Zombo said:

Either way Pryor has shown all the signs of being better then Manzeil. Since the reality is JFF wouldn't trade for a 7th rounder

That's what we need: a QB that "asked out", got traded for a 7th rounder, got cut, failed four tryouts, sat out an entire season, and is now at the bottom of some other teams preseason depth chart ... as opposed to giving our first round pick from last year another chance after two starts.

No no you're both wrong and foolish, what we REALLY need is Tim Tebow. Right? Huh? Anyone?
