cant express just how terrible of an idea this is...

right cause josh has proved such a solid yearly presence in our lockerroom.

Then why would the Raiders want him, huh? Nope, we've invested far too much pain and suffering with Josh's troubles to kick him out the door now- even for a talent like Mack. Who, BTW isn't going anywhere.

  • if we coukd keep that 1st rounder and still get mack, bye josh...like the guy wish him well, but bye

It seems like you don’t like him.

Regardless he’s our #1 wideout and it seems clear by how coach Hue acts, he’s not going anywhere

i dont hate him, at all....but im also not hopeful about him. Todd haley feels the same way and he knows far more about josh gordons troubles than we do. Yes, coach jackson is optimistic.....we'll see

cause if they dont want to pay mack 22m they might settle on multiple pieces coupled perhaps with a later round. Mack is prob not going anywhere, my suggestion about was just a thought. If they're adamant about a 1st rounder than yeah they dont get gordon packaged up. I just opined that if they were amenable to a later round pick and a package of ogbah, gordon and some beers......id do it. Just my opinion.

But all that is predicated on how mack would want his contract structured. If we couldnt work something out with him that left us good with other key players we need the cap to sign, than no deal.

  • this just in hue Jackson  has offered up baker Mayfield and miles garrett plus next years  1st and 2nd round picks for  mack and carr and their 3rd round pick rumor from mkc stating that there is going to be a shake up in the front office and that Haley may be replaced with Zampese

    Ernie or Ken?

  • What would you feel comfortable with offering?

  • I would offer a 1st round with orchard and nassib or late round picks.

Mack and Garrett  can cause some trouble.

they would define the word "trouble". That being said, the price can be too high and id be perfectly comfirtable going after nick bosa next year

  • We have to stop the mentality of picking early every year

That finally makes sense...  Trading up in the first round next year to get Bosa for four years (on a rookie deal) is more intelligent than breaking the bank to get Mack.

  • Yeah let's loose 14 games this year to get bosa.  Makes sense

Loose as in footloose footlooseLoose as in footloose footloose. Or did you mean lose

  • Ian Rapoport just tweeted. . .

And here we go: The #Bears are now expected to trade for star Khalil Mack. They are the team.

  • OK, that's over.

Expect big seasons from Ogbah and Collins ... and we still have all of our first rounders!

    Play Ball....

  • Another tweet from Ian Rapoport. . .

Sources: The #Bears are giving 2 first-round picks to the #Raiders for star Khalil Mack. That may not be it, but that is the crux of the deal. A huge, huge deal.

  • Bittersweet! I had lofty visions OF Mack and Garrett, but oh well! Play ball indeed. (please stay healthy Garrett).

We saw Garrett play a healthy half and absolutely destroy the Super Bowl Champs in a meaningless preseason game against a solid backup LT. When asked about the game, Garrett made an interesting point, and he said playing one half is fun, but playing the SECOND half is really where it starts to get good because you can execute the moves you've been setting up and the lineman begins to tire. Garrett's conditioning is second to none in the DE world. He stays healthy and he's going to have some games where he puts up scary numbers. That being said, even having one dominant DE isn't enough. Teams can try to plan against him. We won't be a stellar defense unless Ogbah and Avery can take advantage of the massive attention on Garrett.

Keep an eye on Genard Avery this year, especially on obvious passing downs. Gregg likes to kick Ogbah inside, and Avery will basically be a standing defensive end opposite Garrett. Ogunjobi would likely be the other DT, and he's excellent at penetration. Guys, that's a legit arsenal.

Ya, Williams is high on Avery. I'm not one to get excited about 5th round picks ... But don't you feel that Avery in the 5th round was exactly what they wanted form Mingo at #7 overall many years ago. Could be a huge steal for John Dorsey who will never buy a drink in Cleveland again if we go 8-8 this year.
