It's hard enough to estimate a season record WITH preseason games.....
 

Then again, sometimes the preseason can throw you off too... How many times have we seen a rookie QB look great (going against vanilla defenses) in preseason to looking like deer in the headlights once the season starts? cough* DeShone Kizer *cough Mitch Trubisky *cough.

Yes but no.  

When I watch our preseason games I evaluate how our regulars do against the opponent's regulars.  After that I'm watching our lower tier players to see if any of 'em flash...and if it's just 'in the pan'.  I would be watching to see how our new coach calls plays, handles the clock, TO's red flag, etc.   I'm not interested in our score or number of preseason wins.

Dang, I agree with a lot of this stuff. I really want to convince myself that we'll win more than 6 games. I don't think week 1 will go well, but it doesn't take a genius to predict week 1 struggles for the Browns. Like I've said before, it's pretty much the worst case scenario for starting the season. But hey, we won last year, so let's do it again.
