Man, the G's needed that game!
I'll give the Tigers credit - its been an absolutely dreadful season for them - but they've gave the Guardians all they could handle this season. Cleveland wins the season series, 10-9.

It's been a helluva ride - I need to get up to Progressive Field again before the season ends.
Can't believe it is almost September already!

For those of you keeping score at home, the Padres have a payroll THREE times the size of the Guardians.
The G's just took both games from them.
This is going to be a fun last six weeks
-
Astros help out the Guardians with a 5-3 win over the Twins with the 21st consecutive quality start for Frambler Valdez, a new Astros record. Astros Montero gave up 2 runs in the 9th before getting bailed out with a liner right at Altuve who doubled up the runner who had gotten off 2nd base. No one out and two runs in at the time. Forced a grounder to 3rd for the final out. Whenever Montero comes in a game I cringe. He's just as likely to blow it as make the save.

And to make it more interesting ......

.... 2-2 top 9. Here we go. LEAD OFF DOUBLE. Runner to 3rd 1 out.
....x... SEA 3-2 final.. An unfortunate mistake filled game cost Beiber a W. I can't believe I listened to it all. Even an unfortunate ending if you see the replay. Oh well, playoff baseball on prime time.
