I feel like Im breaking my first rule of not jinxing the team  by commenting on them - but I will steer clear of predictions and go with postgame stuff!

Francona said postgame that the play at second review gave him a "nervous feeling" watching the umpire crew huddle about.

the call was correct and we kept the base , but it just goes to show that these games are bigger now and even the best and wisest  manager

can get wrapped up in the moment.

This game lasted only 2hr 17 min and was an amazing pitchers duel by 2 Shanes - and Hr's by 2 Jose's!

Had  WTAM on I heart on my ear buds at work... and it felt like the smoothest least nerve wracking game ever!

sidenote - Hamilton pronounces Carnegie (and Ontario) as Carne..Gay instead of what I thought is Carne ..Gee?

Yes a pitcher's duel alright !   ANY  runs will be huge,  maybe a 1 or 2 run game.....again.   Just see the ABOVE  posrs.

Oh yes,  a  HUGE  maybe a 1 run game  and the Guardians  those cardiac Cleveland  youngsters were able and outlast and out preform TB.

~ AND ~  make no mistake  the Tampa Bay Devil Rays  are a very good team.  But the young Cleveland GUARDIANS  yes those guys did what it takes to win.

    And  Tito Francona  is  priceless.

Oh man, the start to this playoff run reminds me of all the tight, crazy playoff games in 1997.

That playoff run by the Indians probably aged me about 10 years in that month.

You think Myles Straw and the Yankee Bleacher Situation from this spring will be a topic of discussion during the first two games in New York? ?

Here  they all are, times still TBD,  Should have them real soon.   I think they're waiting for the last wild-card game to play out.

MLB.com  as of  2:58 EDST  Sunday afternoon.  ..... during the  CLE at LAC. game.

When is the game and how can I watch it?

Game 1 of the ALDS will be played on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. The start time has yet to be announced. The game will be televised by TBS.

All series are available in the U.S. on MLB.TV with authentication to a participating Pay TV provider. Games are not available live internationally (archives are available approximately 90 minutes after the game ends).

    MLB.com.  2:56 pm. ET.

    Who are the starting pitchers?

Guardians: Since they swept the Rays, the Guardians will be able to save Cal Quantrill (15-5, 3.38 ERA) for Tuesday’s start in New York. Quantrill made one start against the Yankees this year, giving up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings in a 5-4 loss on April 23. He’s had just one-third of an inning of postseason experience, recording one out with Cleveland in 2020.

Yankees: Cole (13-8, 3.50 ERA) will start Game 1. In four postseason starts as a Yankee, Cole is 2-1 with a 3.98 ERA. He was 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA in two starts vs. Cleveland this year.
