That was one frustrating win last night, but a frustrating win is always better than any loss.

In other Guardians news, attendance at Progressive Field went over the 1,000,000 mark in 41 home games, the fastest pace since 2008.

So much for Go Woke, Go Broke after the name change, huh?

It also means the Gs will have an insane amount of home games after the All-Star Game. Something like 41 out of 67 games. Their record at home so far this season - 30-11.

Guardians finish the first half with a whimper, losing two of three to the Rays (by identical 2-0 scores).

They did take Travis Bazzana #1 overall in the draft tonight, a second baseman originally from Australia. He played at Oregon State, where Steve Kwan played.

Ahead of José Ramírez's participation in the 2024 Home Run Derby, take a look at his most notable homers.

....  edit add #1  ....  I  really  did enjoy  the  deluxe cheese & cracker spread my wife made for me.   Oh I should have taken a picture    -but-   it's almost gone now.      Sorry,  mjp.

....  edit add  #2  ....  My  excellent  cook & wife in addition to crackers. actually made me some homemade  cut-up  rye bread  buttered  crackers to have with the cheese.  Ummm-mmmm  delicious.        Again sorry,  they went first !   mjp.
