Just dont get drafting a DT who doesn't rush the QB at #5

What if we suck next year because we have Pickett and an Old Timer at QB, and are weak at OL?  And Berry & Stef get fired?  And we bring in a new HC that wants to install a 3-4 D?

Well you play Baltimore and Pittsburgh four times a year

    Cleveland received the No. 5 pick, a second-round pick (No. 36), a fourth-round pick (No. 126) and a 2026 first-round pick

    Jaguars received the No. 2 pick, a fourth-round pick (No. 104) and a sixth-round pick (No. 200)

Bullying the Jags first-time GM James Gladstone, the name of a guy who loses at fantasy football, is one of the best moves Berry has ever made.

Basically #2 for #5, #36, and their first next year.. pay no attention to the pick swap in the fourth and extra sixth.

Not only did Browns get another first-round pick next year, that extra second-round pick tomorrow is number 4 and should also be a quality starter especially given the random late-round-2 picks already made tonight.  [What the hell are the Bengals smoking, they drafted an edge who got 4.5 sacks in 3 yrs]

What makes you think Graham wouldn't be an ideal NT?  Just like a previous Pro Bowl NT Bob Golic here - he's a former wrestler that's much bigger than Bob was.  He'll command attention inside.

While Myles Garrett gets another year older - he'll appreciate the need for opponents to double team Graham inside.  London, this moves helps Myles out a lot. I know this pick isn't Big Sexy to many but it's Country Strong...

Golics biggest asset was he was strong and stout.. And at the perfect height of 6'2 which allowed him to get leverage on opposing lineman.. Not bad for a guy who wasnt exactly fast and started out as a 3 stance LB'er.. Interestingly enough I had a working relationship with Bob Golics late Father Bob Sr... He was a Lake County building and safety inspector and I had the pleasure of knowing him when we had the construction business... Very nice man.

  • He knows how to win in Ohio, so that's good for us.

That response was weak AF, for some reason I expected better.

Let’s hope MG doesn’t disappoint, like your posts.

You're putting too much stock in "43 34".

Gaps, roles and assignments are always most crucial. Hell, even most modern "34s" are 1 gap or blended gap fronts.   Even the most creative coaches don't have your classic 2 gapping fronts anymore.

Well, that will make Woody happy !

Truth is, I took the 2nd rated edge rusher on the trade down, he went way later.

But the Browns took a dominating, aggressive, buttkicking defensive lineman? I've seen where some thought he was the most amazing defensive player in the draft. Great choice I think, even if he is from michigan. lol

There is only one MG on this team, and he played for Texas A&M, sir.

Not to mention there would be a good chance that Schwartz would take over the HC position and or we wouldn't play a 3-4 D.

ok...So should I assume the same with MLB vs ILB (4/3  3/4) now-a-days?   There used to be size vs speed requirement differences.

...and yeah, Schwartz could be the next HC if Jimmuh's trigger finger goes off after next season.  -  basically just thinking out loud here -

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s was Myles Garrett who advised for this move.
Nice rivalry with Mike Hall from OSU on the interior DLine. Now plenty of other picks to address other needs.

Took the best player available(besides hunter) and acquired more picks to fill other holes.

The front office is attempting to climb out of the Watson hole that was dug. ?️
