Rankings are affected by Byes which are now coming into play.  We've played 5 games to the Steelers 4.  So more important is the yardage per game.

The Takeaways jump out with the Steelers being +7...but the Patriots gave them the ball 5 times when the two teams played. (the Steelers are so friggin' lucky)

I had to do a double-take regarding the Steelers D numbers.  They're quite pedestrian...though they do get after the QB.  On offense, we're about the same.  It looks like we run the ball better than them...be we know that don't run the ball well...in spite of Judkins' heroic after contact yardage.

I don't think the Steelers are all that great.  This game right here can change the outlook of the season.  We're in a division title chase if we win.

WE CAN BEAT THEM - JUST FOR ONE DAY  (Bowie)

I want to revisit this graphic of Must Win games.  (split with division foes and beat who you're supposed to beat)  If we move Game #1's Must Win tag to the LAST game, against the Bengals...and we win all of those Must Win games...we've got 10 wins.  (we've beaten Green Bay)  AND, if we win this week against Pittsburgh (totaling 11 wins), we'd be going into the Ravens game at home with a 4 game win streak.  -  The first third of this schedule was always going to be brutal.  It ain't over until we start losing to the teams that we're supposed to beat.

No way we lose this game, they’re not 3-1 good.

    23-16 Browns

Well I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm thinking in my fandom, which began in 1970, the Browns have only won in Pittsburgh 6 times. It's an insane stat.

Since they came back in 1999, I do know they've only won there 3 times, the playoff game being the biggest shock.

The Browns aren't really good as we know, but they're intriguing. I expect a close game, one the Browns can win ( eliminate the idiotic penalties and they will win).

Only 3 games to choose from for the CBS day game, so our Brownies get some pretty good coverage this week.

ALL of Ohio and every state we border gets the game. Pretty much all of the east coast gets the game except stations that are beholden to NE, NO and Miami.

Mothafuckin’ Texas is in the house. As is Oklahoma, where the winds come sweepin’ down the plains.

We say aloha to Hawaii this week. They are clearly intrigued to watch the progress of Hawaii 5’9, Dillon Gabriel, who l only recently learned is the 3rd currently active QB from the state of Hawaii in the NFL, the others being Marcus Mariota and Tua Tagovailoa.

And there’s a weird little section of northern CA just north of Sacto that gets the game, which includes the city of Chico, CA. Chico means boy in Spanish, and it’s home to the National Yo-Yo Museum, and inconsequentially also the birthplace of Aaron Rodgers.

I realize that but Three Rivers/Heinz has been an albatross except for the Kosar years.

The 70s, well the Browns had 'em beat a few times and the zebras took it away. Time to exorcize those demons this Sunday.

AI says the Browns beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh 13 times since 1970, it just feels like its only been 6.

It's because the opponent is typically better than we are.  We've got to play better.  It's not like going to the west coast where there's a bit of jet lag.  It's not like going to Denver where the air is a different density.  It's not like going down south to a temperature difference.  Pittsburgh is a hop, skip and a jump down the road.  The field dimensions are the same, the goal posts are as tall, the football is just as brown.  There's no voo-doo.  Ya just have to play better than they do.

Browns have the league best defense holding teams to less than 4.5 yards per play

Ok I did look it up, it's actually 7 wins in Pittsburgh since 1970, including the playoff game?

Not going to put so much trust in AI anymore.

    LOL

I Googled the same question again and got this…

The Cleveland Browns have beaten the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road 21 times since 1970. This record reflects the total number of road wins for the Browns against the Steelers in the regular season and playoffs during that time period.

At that rate we may have never lost in Pittsburgh. Lol
