Tale of the Tape - Browns vs Steelers
-
I'm sick. Going back to bed.
OK, so where was I? What do the Steelers do well except takeaways? Perhaps sacks? And they're going to be the division winner.
Last week we had way more 1st downs than Buffalo...and we had the ball like 11 minutes longer...and still lost.
Oh well.....this is when we want Myles to break the sack record. Against Pittsburgh! Do It Myles!!!
-
I’ll take a win over draft position. DK Metcalf out, Ward back hopefully should mean we may get a twofor: victory with the sack record.
Edit: I just learned that if Baltimore loses on Saturday, Pittsburgh may pull it's starters as it would've already won the division. Sweet justice for Myles to get the sack record with Mason Rudolph.

And the Steelers got creamed by Buffalo in Pittsburgh!!!
It’s very possible, but don’t bet on Garrett getting the sack record this week.
Rather than Rizzo getting all bent out of shape: (Below)
Following the Cleveland Browns' 23–9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in October 2025, Myles Garrett detailed several tactics the Steelers used to neutralize his impact as a pass rusher
Chunk Formations and Chipping: Garrett noted that the Steelers frequently stayed in "chunk formations" (compact personnel groupings) to facilitate frequent chips—physical hits from tight ends or running backs—on every play before he could reach the quarterback.
Quick Passing Game: The Steelers' strategy relied on getting the ball out "as quick as possible". Garrett explained that the offensive scheme aimed to stay "on time" with quick passes over the middle and to the perimeter, leaving little time for the defensive line to affect the play.
Quarterback Mobility: Instead of traditional drop-backs, the Steelers' quarterback (Aaron Rodgers in this 2025 matchup) frequently sprinted out to the opposite side of the field or moved behind the line of scrimmage more than in previous years to escape Garrett's reach.
Slide Protections: The offensive line routinely "slid" their protection toward Garrett, ensuring multiple blockers were positioned to stop him.
Garrett expressed frustration with the "script," stating that even if he beat his primary block, the combination of chips and the quick release of the ball made it nearly impossible to record a sack. He emphasized that the Browns must find ways to "get a lead" to force opponents into longer drop-back situations where his pass-rushing skills can be more effective.
Rizzo was livid after the Steeler game.

So this means we get Mason Rudolph.... I like our chances to get Myles that sack... But that said... I still expect Kevin to fuck it up and find a way to lose the game

Another pretty big tv map for our viewing pleasure today. Roughly half the country will get the chance to watch CLE v. PIT, from the tippy top of ND to the sippy bottom of TX.
https://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2025&wk=17
Most of Ohio is in, except for us suckers around Cincy. Plenty of eastern states are in, and we say HI to Hawaii this week.
About half of FL can tune in, as well as northern MI, including part of the Upper Peninsula that includes the Hiawatha National Forest, or HNF for short. The HNF has 6 designated wilderness areas, one of which is called the Delirium Wilderness, which sounds like a spooky place to visit.
Waddya say? Let’s beat them Steelers today.
