no kidding. I can't see Tressell coaching a win against the Ducks.. He is more suited for lower division football where you don't have to scheme as much.
sorry but Tressell is an embarrassment in big bowl games. Lame duck!

one national title on a bogus 4th down interefernce call.
he has lost three is a row. this will be number 4 for him.
I don't think he can coach in big games in front of people outside the big ten.. Other teams always seem to push him around and embarrass him.
all I am saying is that Tressell will lose again on the big stage.. this will be his 4th loss in a row.
I was a fan of his when he coached the Penguins but he is out of his league in the Div 1A college post-season. The Miami game was so close and OSU won but everyone said that the refs handed the game to Jim with the bogus 4th down interference call. He won but has been a disappointment ever since.
The bad thing about these games is everyone sees it. It''s not like he loses a big ten game, he gets murdered in BCS games..He is not good when he has to play in BCS games - his record stinks.
Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel confirmed today that wide receivers Ray Small and Duron Carter and defensive end Rob Rose all will miss the Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi.

What a dope this guy is. He just created his excuse for losing to Oregon which he knew would happen.
How are Rob Ryan, Mangini, and Holgren going to fit into a car if they have to take a trip together? you'd have to rent a UHAUL..
Tressell better figure out how to win Bowl games otherwise he's a dipshit.
Hire anyone except white people.. they suck!
Tressell needs to measure up here in DIV 1A on the big stage. He was good at the junior level but can't get it done at this level so far.
1950, 1954, 1955, 1964, respectively. Granted, they weren't Lombardi trophies then, because Vince Lombardi was still alive. But still, ten years before you guys won your first. Judging by those dates, I believe we were the ones kicking the sand in the playground as kids.As adults, on the other hand, we haven't had near as much success.
oh yes I forgot about the cheesy championship days of the browns that don't measure up in today's NFL.
you forgot the AAFC backyard football games..LOL a seven team league...
well one thing is clear. The Steelers are still in it and the Browns well... they aren't .. go figure it out..
the reason is I liked Tressell at YSU but I hope he's not in for another embarrassment in a BCS Bowl game. Oregon is scary good and Jim seems to never have any adjustments ready once a game changes on him.
Tressell has been beaten by Florida, LSU, TX and has a three bowl losing streak.
If he loses to ORE he ties cooper for most bowl losses in a row.
If he loses this he should go back to DIV 1 AA.
the browns have been benchwarmers since 1963.. they don't complain onyl their fans do..
maybe lay off the double whoppers with cheese?
Mt Union lost again to the same team.. SPANKED!!!
We win Super Bowls you don't.. Stark Reality..
Is it in the genes in Brownstown to be perpetual losers?
you'd better study up. The Steelers are still in the playoff hunt.. you ruined nothing.. again...
Big Ben deserved it more plus we are still in the playoff hunt whereas the Browns aren't.
Big Ben also has two Super Bowl rings. nuff said on that!
what is funny is the browns seem attracted to losers and losers are attracted to the Browns..
How does it feel way down there in the standings year after year..You've got the Big L on your forehead Lerner.
Homlgren has no successful front office experience and is 61..yeah right, good choice!
Mike Holmgren made a name for himself coaching Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers however what a lot of people overlook was the GM Ron Wolf who should be credited with building the Packers into a force in the 1990's.
It was Ron Wolf who had the personnel decisions making a trade to get Brett Favre from Atlanta and signing free agent Reggie White to add to an already potent team. Ron Wolf made the difference in Green Bay not Holmgren.
Also Holmgren was fired from his duties as GM of the Seattle Seahawks and did nothing special in Seattle - The NFC West was a very weak conference.
Holmgren is 61 years old and looking for his last gig and getting a huge payday.Mike Holmgren recommended a washout coach from Atlanta - Jim Mora - to take his place after he bailed out. He had a 72-56 (56.3%) regular season record with the Seahawks and a less than steller 3-4 (42.9%) postseason record.
Jim Mora had a marginal record with Atlanta 26–22 (.542) and is a failure in Seattle.
Mike Holgren is looking for his last big payday and got it with Cleveland but he won't be able to compete in the AFC North for at least 4 years when he will cash out and retire. The Super Bowl still runs through Pittsburgh as the old Bum Phillips used to say and that will not change.
The Browns made another bad move hiring this over the hill non-qualified upper management guru who has no experience in the front office.
I think Randy Lerner is infatuated with anyone who has a Super Bowl Ring(s). He thinks it will rub off somehow but good teams seek out young talent to take over and lead the team for decades not a quick fix. And this is a move Lerner did to appease the fans and keep the money rolling in.
You will get better but still be the basement AFC North team for years to come.
