Doctors at Houston’s Memorial Hermann hospital have set the latest trend in science: live tweeting.

Following on the heels of its live-tweeted open-heart surgery procedure — complete with graphic photos — the Twitter account of the Houston hospital (@houstonhospital) will give amateur sawbones an up-close look at a brain operation performed by Dr. Dong Kim, a neurosurgeon who worked on the team that treated former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords after she suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

The videos are graphic.

Bear Grylls throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. He lights the ball on fire first. Would have been more like him if he pulled it out of his ass.

A Navy F-18 fighter just went down between a Virginia Beach grade school and an animal rescue center—and the result is an enormous flaming heap of jet wreckage.

WAVY-TV reports "the Navy told WAVY.com the plane was an F18 Strike fighter squadron 106," and is clearly still ablaze from on the ground images. No word on whether any pilot was injured (or dead), but there are already reports of injured pedestrians. No word on what caused the plane, which costs tens of millions of dollars to go down, but it somehow managed to avoid hitting a minigolf course and water park, though nearby residences may not have been spared. [WAVY-TV]

Are you near the crash? Have you heard from anyone nearby or taken any pictures? Email me.

Update 12:56 PM EST: A local NBC affiliate says both F-18 pilots have been taken to the hospital after ejecting. A nearby apartment building (!) is being searched for casualties.

Im not necessarily saying the Jets dont have a good run defense, but look at the teams theyve played to give them that 4th rushing defense stat...

Ravens, Patriots, Dolphins, Bills, Vikings, Broncos, Packers, Lions... The only decent running team on that list are the Vikings with AP.. Pats dont run, GB's running back is injured for the year, Spiller is a rookie, Hillis has more or close to the rushing yards than the entire Broncos team.. Ravens are alright I guess. But I guess im saying, besides Minnesota the Jets defense hasnt seen a good running game this year. We'll see...

Really?

I think you are severely underating the Jets rush D
