Why are we still talking about this?
Blah! Because I'm depressed.

We could had Mack and Carr!!! 2 corner stone players on opposite side of the ball.
But we BLEW it because of some bum and a dumb phone call...
How the fock did the front office not dig anything up during their due diligence?
Just another game manager at best.
Can we close this thread and have everyone just STFU about Carson Wentz. He is not a Cleveland Brown....so fuck him two ways to Sunday.
Not that easy.
We turned Jesus away when the 4 horsemen are rooming in Cleveland....
I have said it 2 years back. That Manziel pick set us back 4-5 years. We are in year 3 of that mess.
Hue made a big mistake to deffer after winning the coin toss in OT.
Should had given the kid a chance. The benefit of him scoring and winning the game on the first OT possession would had lay the ground works for him the rest of the season. You can't teach confidence in this league but you can certainly earn it.
We'll see what he got against Washington coming off a solid victory on the road against the Giants.
So this guy is a film junkie ala P. Manning.
Why can't he be a party junkie like our boy Manziel? This way we don't feel so bad...
He played well.
Well enough to win but our kicker blew it.
A good QB usually can off set some of the inefficiency of the Offensive Line. (See P. Manning and T. Brady over the years).
The ability to understand blitz and what the defense throws at you cannot be under estimated.
Wentz did 2 things really well.
1) He audibled and put the offense in a better opportunity
2) He was able to slide and BUY time (see the 72 yard pass to Sproles).
My congrats and thanks to CW and the iggles for stomping the snot out of the stoolies
About the only thing positive this weekend.
It seems more like the NFL isn't Carson Wentz-ready.
Just most Browns fan. We like the Manziel/RG3 and hate the Carrs and Wentz.
301 passing yards
2td
125 passing rating
Against the steelers!!!
Just watch this guy play man. He's a stud.
To me, my biggest thing is that he doesn't LOOK overwhelmed. I agree he's gotten a decent luck of the draw, but I also haven't seen any indications of him being a Manziel, or a Russell, or a Leaf, or a Boller, or anyone of of those QB's who just didn't LOOK like they could handle it.
I'm not saying he could go out and take down the Patriots tomorrow, but I also haven't seen anything so far that would make me think he'd go out and pull a Manziel vs. Panthers/Bengals either.
Yup. He made 2 big throws that should had been TDs that got dropped last game.
The dude plays like he behinds in the league. His command of the offense was equal to A. Luck in his first few games. Outstanding. Period.
The Browns organization and most of it's fans have 0 clue what a successful young QB looks like.
Carson Wentz is going to be a stud in this league. If anyone had watched the last 2 games, this dude is the real deal.
I would give my left nut for Carson Wentz.
Another chance on getting a stud young QB and we blew it.
First it was Derek Carr and now this.
I hate you all.
How bout we go find a real QB?
I'm liking what Jimmy G is showing in NE.
Again something like fantasy football when your QB1 goes down and you have an old experienced QB2 and nothing much else, check the FAs, out of footballs, CFLs, Arena ball, want ads, bars and realize you're pretty much screwed.
Time to get the kids ready and hope they all don't go down.
This happened decades back, remember QB4 (some good old guys) I think it was -but- the BROWNS had an experienced team around them......not now.
Sounds like what a good front office will do.
Ours? Not a million years.
This sucks!
There's an article out there. Maybe there's a relationship between the strength coach and pec injuries. Sometimes when the weight is simply too much for the body.
D should always be stronger than O. Short of an Aaron Rodgers, build your D and develop a competent offense.
Easier said than done.
