For $5m a year Browns might be lucky to get Anderson. You know, the guy who actually won games...

The Browns could land a damaged Andrew Luck for the right price. -
You Gotta Take Peterson at 6 If He Is ThereAre you saying he is a scared cow or sacred cow?
lol, I think he meant sacred cow.
Trade proven contributor at his position? And if Peterson doesn't pan out as return man, then what? Trade for Cribbs?
Cribbs already proved that he's return man not a receiver. He's good at returning. Let's keep it that way. If you think we need a shutdown corner, I totally agree. Let's get Peterson, but let's not trade Hillis or Cribbs or Ward or McCoy or create any other holes because we don't have much talent to trade.

Will the Glory Return1964? I'd be happy with return of 2007...

robert quinnSign that guy and Mark Anderson from Texans so we can have Anderson vs. Quinn threads....again. Good times!

Green Bay closing in on ClevelandSee the map above. There is an entire DMA between Canton and the Pittsburgh DMA.
Here is a map of the entire nation:

Your map is wrong! Canada and Mexico are not round and they are much bigger. Alaska is not an island, and Hawaii isn't purple it's green like all the other rainforest.
I do agree with you list though. Seems like sports of any level are popular in Cleveland, so over the years they collected a huge amount of trophies even if some (Pisstburg residents) think they're meaningless.

Green Bay closing in on ClevelandI vote this thread as "The funnest thing evah", despite it's usefulness level.

Brian Daboll New Dolphins OCThat's funny. Every time someone leaves Cleveland they become "public enemy #1". I bet Miami thought Dabol did o.k. with what he had to work with.

The 12th ManOther teams engineered their stadiums to maximize the number of seats, Seahawks built it to maximize noise. It's a gimmick much like the "smurf-turf" of Boise State, but apparently it works really well.

Andrew Luck Returning to Stanford100% Agree! He is taking a HUGE risk.. how could you pass up guaranteed mulit-millions of dollars to finish out one year?! Especially when he can go back to stanford ANYTIME. I can guarantee any one of us would take the money.. how could you not?! After all, isn't that what we are after?? He has a talent that can make him MILLIONS.. AHH what is he thinking!!??
Anyways.. whatever.. eff him
QB at Carolina: 65 mil/ 10 years....then who knows
Architectural design degree out of Stanford + 65mil/10 years from NFL team = running architectural design firm at age 30 through 65 = 175-300 mil over lifetime.
300,000,000 > 65,000,000 is what he's thinking. Smart guy.

My thought on ColtHe needs a wr that can get separation. MoMass is NOT a #1 by any stretch of the imagination.
How can you even try to throw a +20 yard pass when you have 2 guys in your face before you even set up. I saw the line on Colt was something like 4 sacks, and a ton of hurries and knockdowns. Peyton Manning would have looked like crap with the non- protection he was getting most of the afternoon.
The first int hit Watson in the hands, another one he got hit when he was releasing the ball. FWIW, his hot read on the play was double covered and was a pick 6 waiting to happen.
For those who are entertaining the thought of trading up to get Luck, here's Carolina's asking price TWO #1s, and Hillis. Still interested?
No thanks. I like 3-4 win seasons.....
Carolina won't trade. They're not stupid. They'll trade Clausen....

My thought on ColtBTW, Sam Bradford stank today
Dead wrong. I watched that whole game. Yes, I would call it "The Futility Bowl" 2010, but Bradford wasn't the reason Rams lost. He has no receivers. There are few idiots in a uniform running around on the field pretending to be receivers, but they're not catching balls, so they can't be. Sure Bradford played may be a little too conservative but not bad at all for a rookie. Rams are gonna draft and sign receivers this year.

If only my stalker pikeyM was the Browns President, only then would we be good. Who cares about Mike Holmgren and his years involved in actual football not web forum posting? You thought DA was God, your judgment is not worth sh!t.
Hey dumbass, why r u following me around? Am I stalking you? Get a life Retard.

NFL Rookie Quarterbacks - A little perspectiveJoe Montana and Steve Young were noodle armed QB's...Hows DA doing by the way?
DA? He sucks. Apparently, he's blind or has Down syndrome or something. I heard AZ's new QB is a skeleton, so I'm not sure that's an upgrade over DA...
Luck on the other hand is a lot like Bradford, and Browns could try mimicking the Rams....Good RB Jackson --> Hillis. Get a head coach that runs similar scheme and may be go 8-8 next year? heck even 7-9 would be huge success.
-
NFL Rookie Quarterbacks - A little perspectiveColt proved once again that noodle-armed QB's are popular in Cleveland. The things are back to normal in the Land of Cleve, 4-5 wins a season and talk about how great new mobile QB looked in the latest loss to ...whoever. Charlie, Ken, Brady, Seneca,...Colt. Who cares! They all suck. Next year it will be Jimmy "the sausage" Clausen.
Send Cribbs, Hillis, anyone that's worth anything to Carolina and get Luck.

Sabby PiscatelliThere were quite a few safeties drafted that year before Bucs picked Sabby. He was 7th. Bucs gambled and lost. Analysts were saying that he can become the next Urlacher, but apparently he never put on any muscle or got faster. Browns FO probably got him as a project, so don't expect any changes. If they can't figure out what to do with him he'll be released....again.

You have got to be shitting me.Facts are facts.
Quinn garnered interest in a trade which results in draft picks and a productive player for the team.
DA's mediocre facade performance in 2007 against a CAKE schedule of under .500 teams netted him another season as our starter and yet another half season as the go to guy as Mangini turned the QB carousel between him and Queen. That's 3 wasted seasons.
The only people that stopped them from signing someone else was themselves, that's why the majority of them (those guys who went with ANDERSON) are FIRED you moron.
"Quinn garnered interest in a trade which results in draft picks and a productive player for the team." You are alone on that one. That's like saying Modell deserves a credit because if he didn't move the team there wouldn't be expansion Browns that would draft BQ and trade him to Denver to get Hillis. It's absurd!
On one hand you have a coach that made so many dumb decisions in a row and about to get fired for making them, and on the other hand you have BQ who consistently shown that he's good at throwing "rainbow passes" and taking dives, but you insist that BQ "generated interest" while facts point to "yet another dumb move by McDouche". It's called "pattern recognition", look it up...
Are you one of those people that think we're in the bad economy because pot is illegal? You know, ignore the obvious - concentrate on the hidden agenda...
Also a fact: DA didn't generate interest because of his contract. That's not really his fault though. NFL has rules and by those rules he was supposed to make lots of money in 2010, unfortunately he wasn't good enough to be paid that much, so he got released and signed for less. If Browns gave him 10 year 30mil contract in 06, he'd still be a Brown.
P.S. Could you stop with the name calling. It makes you sound desperate. It's sad. Makes me sad. I'm sad now. I might quit internets.

Facts are facts, Queen sucking is irrelevant and without question.Queen netted us a great player and two draft picks.
DA couldn't even draw the interest of a draft pick.
Big difference.
You call people dumb while you're the idiot that can't face reality. I'll use caps so you can see words better.
QUINN DID NOT NET ANYTHING. COACH MCDANIELS IS A MORON (ASK ANY BRONCO FAN) AND DESERVES ALL THE CREDIT FOR SENDING HILLIS TO BROWNS.
DA WAS THE BEST QB FOR THE BROWNS BECAUSE THE ALTERNATIVES WERE: FRY, DORSEY, QUINN. I realize that it's a pretty pathetic competition, but who stopped coach/gm from signing/drafting someone better?
-
MNF is Ripping Apart AnderceptionBetween quinn and anderson, quinn did way more than da ever did for the cleveland browns. Two words....no make it three........PEYTON xxxxING HILLIS. Dumbass owes everyone who is a browns fan a bottle of pepto for the queesy feeling he left in everyones stomach. Talking shit to the fans while he singled handedly kept romeo and phil employed for one more year. Oh what great memories that was. The guy should of begged us to stay because the only good memories of the nfl this guy will ever have was in cleveland. Hope this guy gets trapped in a bathroom with ben. POSER!
I see your point, but I would give all the credit to coach McDouche instead of Quinn on that one. That's also one of the reasons McDouche is going to be unemployed soon. I think throwing 5TD's in one game is just slightly better than being "part of the trade".

MNF is Ripping Apart AnderceptionGruden said last night that drafting bad QB (in the 1st round) will set your franchise back 5 years. Browns did that by drafting Quinn, DA cut that down to 3 years. Not a huge accomplishment, but not exactly a total loss either considering the clusterf**k he was playing for.
