The floors of the b10 and the SEC are the same... and yet, the parity of both the middle and the ceiling in the b10 is much greater. Only 6 teams have won the SEC in 50 years.. in the b10, that's actually 10. Even Northwestern and Purdue have had their seasons.. Vandy has no shot. Auburn is below Illinois, and Illinois has no shot. Even that one Auburn season had a total of 2 NFL players on the roster - one on each side of the ball - Cam Newton and someone you'll only get looking up Ourlads. Speaking of Illinois, they won the big10 in 2001, have 5 natty's, and of course they beat Tennessee last season.

The reason the red card on the US was given was that studs going down the leg was the Area Of Focus [or whatever it's called] for the refs at this world cup.

Once the ref confirmed Balogun's studs went down the ankle, that was a red card. For this tournament only, that action gets a red regardless of context.

The issue is that the interaction was 0% deliberate - Balogun didn't see him before putting leg out & transferring weight bc the opponent ran in from his blind spot.

I think if the ref was allowed discretion, this wouldn't have been a red during the game.. and hopefully FIFA remembers this and stops taking away ref discretion in future tournaments. Thus Trump calling wasn't some sort of wild crazymaking -- IMHO it gave FIFA a chance/an excuse to remedy their own mistake which even the commentators explained during the game.

A player cannot sign with an NFL team without first making themselves available to be drafted. UDFA is only available after a draft cycle.. so when the NFL refused to hold a draft for him, they are 100% ending his ability to be an NFL player in 2026.

The middle of the big10 is tougher - and the top, middle, and bottom of the big10 repeatedly beat the top, middle, and bottom of the SEC.  In 2026, Iowa waxxed Vanderbilt -- with theoretically the SEC's best player, who didn't get drafted.  Illinois beat Tennessee.  In fact the only SEC win in a bowl game was in the bowl that had 2 SEC teams.  The team that won the SEC got monkeystomped in the first round of the playoffs -- like they didn't belong. 

Does the entire SEC's WR coaching staffs need to go to a gay bar and have someone show them a triple release?  Ryan Williams has nightmares about getting hit while Jeremiah has dreams about running through tackles.  Alabama couldn't run the ball the length of your dick because their WR's whiff block like the OSU room the year before Chip Kelly.

The Middle Of The SEC teams seem difficult simply because all the coaches aren't good.  All those posts about drafted players support this.  If the players are so good, why are the teams dogwater?

I think Jones is basically done after all his injuries - at best he has only a couple throwback games this season.  His injuries are the expected result of choosing not to train hard & be in better shape all of his life.  Knees [all skeletal] & cardio would have been a lot better during his pro years if he'd bothered to try.  He was told this all his life, especially at OSU.
