Private sector adds 122,000 jobs ABOVE EXPECTATIONSHow many are the type of jobs someone needs that aren't worried about benefits?
The fact is, it seems to be a positive job report.
Nobody cares when it's some retirement aged guy living off his 401k using it to keep busy. My concern is that I know way too many millennials and zoomers where this is their only income.

Private sector adds 122,000 jobs ABOVE EXPECTATIONSLet’s not disparage gig jobs Dr. Fancypants. Some of us have carved out a living doing them.
I'm not disparaging the people working them. I have nothing but contempt for the board of directors at doordash/uber/etc.
The numbers report treats those jobs the same as a normal job that also provides healthcare and retirement benefits to their workers. They're clearly not the same thing.

Private sector adds 122,000 jobs ABOVE EXPECTATIONShow many of them are gig jobs with no benefits and a yearly salary of 40k
these job numbers have been fake and gay dating back to the Biden admin

$5 GasWhat do you think has damaged the middle class, impacted affordability, and widened the wealth gap more: illegal immigrants or the actions of elites / wealthy and powerful individuals in this country?
Yes.

Manziel is back -
Myles Garret traded to LA Rams4
Hopefully it's less than that and we can get our QB.

Are current AI really reliable or a scam?@westside-steve ban this motherfucking tin can. we don't take kindly to their kind around here.

Myles Garret traded to LA RamsIt's gonna be a loooong season
It was always going to be a long season. Myles wins the team 3 games on his own. How many wins did you think the browns were going to have before the trade?
-
Myles Garret traded to LA RamsWhat a terrible trade. This trade in my opinion does little to help you acquire a QB in the next draft. I would like to know why they felt they must trade him now after just resigning him.
The only teams who would make this trade are teams that are contending. You'd have to get lucky and get one of those teams who has multiple firsts next year to truly get a chance at the top QB via traded picks alone. I am a bona fide Andrew Berry Hater, but there is no world where we were getting 3 firsts for him. When you compare it to the Micah Parsons trade, this one is pretty similar in value if you think that Verse is a first-round pick.

Remember when the haters gloated?I'm still pissed he helped oust Massie, but my god is it wonderful that he helped get rid of Cornyn. The GOPe still needs to eat shit for blocking legislation that got Trump elected.

$5 GasI'm going to have to strongly disagree with you there on the level of blame placed on illegal immigrants.
You're welcome to disagree with these guys all you like, but even the average American has changed their tune on the topic over the past decade. 2/3 of the country supports mass deportations of illegals. https://www.ipsos.com/en-us/majority-americans-support-deporting-immigrants-who-are-us-illegally
We're in agreement that the people creating the problem are also to blame. Trump and his hotels shouldn't get a pass. Corporate farms shouldn't get a pass. Instead of letting the natural ebb and flow of supply and demand allow workers to get a bigger slice of the pie, the job creators have instead opted to maximize profits by promoting mass illegal (and legal) immigration that undercuts the American working class.
Blue collar work *will* pay more if you stop importing a bunch of low-wage immigrants. Just look at what happened to trucking after the unanimous SCOTUS decision in the last month to allow criminal penalties for the companies who hire negligent drivers. Suddenly, the insurance brokers wouldn't touch shady CDL farms for H1Bs and illegals. Spot rates for truckers became the highest they'd been in like 20-30 years.
Deporting every. single. illegal. and penalizing every employer who allows them to undercut Americans is how you rebuild the middle class and prevent a 1936 Germany situation from happening here.

$5 GasThe last thing you want is desperate people living among you. I truly believe that. It’s not pretty and it bears plenty of shame, but government assistance programs like SNAP curbs desperation and helps people get on their feet, and that’s worth more to me than half a stealth bomber.
Further, the welfare cliffs have created an incentive for people to stay below the poverty line to maintain these benefits - because if they make too much money, they lose this benefit but don't make enough to cover their existing expenses. There's a viral video this week of a woman crying because she got a job but lost her section 8 housing benefits and she feels punished for trying to do the right thing. The government has screwed up the incentives here.
Unfortunately, a large number of the people using it are scabs who aren't trying to do the right thing like this woman did. There are a bunch of videos going viral of middle-class Indian immigrants where they are bragging and making videos explaining how to get free food from food pantries and how it saves them money. The whole system needs to be rethought because certain populations will take full advantage of it with no effort being made to improve their lot.
You get so close to actually understanding and blaming the right people and then your propaganda programming kicks in and you blame illegals.
Illegals are absolutely contributing to the decline of the American working class via supply and demand. Minimizing this problem is a huge blind spot of the left. My landscaper was pissed because he hired a legal Mexican guy to help him get on his feet. This Mexican then opened up a competing business with a bunch of his illegal cousins. They offer to mow a lawn for $30 a pop, and the average American landscaper simply cannot compete with that. Americans are rightly pissed about them being here.

$5 GasWhere do you see gen alpha headed?
Have you looked at the rhetoric of the people who have filled the vacuum left by Charlie Kirk? Kirk at least asked the questions about Israeli influence in our government respectfully and tried to get people to have that dialogue. Where do you think it's headed?

Todd Monken is the new Browns HCI like how Monken called out our mediocre QBs for throwing picks in 7 on 7s.
-
$5 GasBasically Democrat Marjorie Taylor Green hahaha
She seems nuts
Man, if you're concerned now, just wait until generation alpha gets access to the internet. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

$5 GasBiden shutting down the Keystone pipeline AND not renewing drilling leases were one of the biggest reasons for his 40 year high inflation rate. The same principle is being applied now, with the Iranian war. When energy prices are high it costs more to ship stuff…easy peasy.
Those things did contribute to decreased supply but were a drop in the bucket compared to taking all Russian oil supply out of the Western economy.
There is an Easter Bunny. It was guiding Biden at the White House egg throw.
This Easter Bunny was the GOAT.

TodayMaureen Galindo, a Democratic congressional candidate in Texas, said she would turn an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center into a "prison for American Zionists" if she won.Israel First when they have to reap what they've sown. The backlash the Israel lobby has created is going to be fun to watch over the next couple decades.

Starting Offense - thoughtsI won't be wasting my time if they roll Watson out as starting QB. It's been about a decade since he's played good football.
-
$5 GasIf your argument was this is taking longer than they thought, or something along the lines of a failed or nonexistent strategy, I could go along with it.
But to keep talking about gas prices, midterms and Israel is just missing everything going on here.
Biden canceling the pipeline was permanent, having higher prices because we're in a temporary war is something else. I'd even give clueless Joe a pass on that.
I can talk all day about the geopolitical implications of getting involved in this quagmire, but I'm focusing on the political consequences of it in this thread.
Prices weren't up under Biden because of cancelling a pipeline, they were up because we decided it was a good idea to remove one of the world's largest oil exporters (Russia) from our economy. Prices are up now because the biggest oil chokepoint on the planet is closed.
