Or they don't care if he is injured
I'm on the fence myself...is Flacco still available?
-
No, he’s with the colts. He wanted to stay here but Berry preferred Winston for some unfathomable reason.
I think it was Watson's confidence/feelings.
With they being said, it's hard to come away from this loss with the sense the Browns are further away than many thought.
The collapse at each tackle created a chain reaction of chaos in the OL. I'm not sure Chubb would've faired much better.
It sucks feeling like they need two tackles AND a QB.
-
Honestly, one of the worst games I've ever attended
Only one game, but damn whipped in all 3 phases.
-
Show your macho masochism dammit.?
Brother, I normally do, but I have a rare day alone with my teenage daughter and it's too fun to blow watching this game. I don't mind losing, gotten used to it, but it literally hurt my heart listening to the boos. Don't get me wrong, they deserve it, but it hurt to hear. All those fans hoping for something to watch. And nada.
It's one game...although it definitely doesn't feel like it. Need a short memory and prayers for Njoku. Just unbelievable man.

It took me a lotta years to realize that teenage daughters who associate Browns football games with their dad being bent outta shape don’t become Browns fans themselves. And that’s pretty much a requirement for my progeny, family curse and all.
I’m happy to say l cracked that code and fully appreciated this game with my tot. This was also the opening weekend for Gauley season. We bested the lower Gauley yesterday and made it home in time for most of the game.
Shitty ass performance by the offense. Watson looked about as bad as l feared he would. I can’t tell if our Oline suddenly sucks or if they want to get Watson killed. Could be a long season.
-
I'll bet by the 3rd quarter the stadium was half empty.
na there were a few left

There was no chance they were going to bring back a guy who proved as popular as Flacco was. People en masse are not going to start chanting Winston's name if Watson struggles, but I guarantee it would have happened with Flacco, probably as early as today.
I'm also convinced that Flacco would have got sacked 12 times today. Same thing for the guy down in Tampa who couldn't outrun a cop.
I think Watson physically and mentally is damaged goods, and I also think Stefanski has no business trying to run a RPO offense. THIS is an interesting thought moving on, considering how few college QBs take most snaps from under center. There are a lot more Deshaun Watson-types coming out of college now than pocket passing Joe Flaccos. (Who really is a good fit in Stefanskis preferred offense).
Stefanski is a "young" head coach, but IMO has zero feel for the prevalent offense of today.

Ok ?
Ford sucks,Strong is a better RB

Lots left at the beginning of the 4thQ.
Just awful. No excuse for being so flat.

Stefanski is a young HC. I’ll buy that there may be some square peg/round hole shit with Watson and that it might not ultimately work out, but l think Stefanski will be better off for it and he’s the guy to bet on and invest in and l’ll fight you if you disagree.
-
I like Strong better too. I like Ford ok too, but l think the wheat from chaff test leans Strong.
Strong seems to be very obviously a better runner, but maybe they don’t trust his ball security or something

Stefanski seems completely baffled in attempting to run an offense that practically every high school can figure out how to run now.
He's a play-action, run kind of heavy, multi-TE at times offensive guy.
The Browns sold their souls on a guy who doesn't fit Stefanski's offense and whose head coach has zero idea how to replicate the offense that does.

I have to agree with Dutch at this moment, #4 seems lost in himself and I am not sure if Coach Paul Brown could bring him out of his doldrums.
