Another Lawsuit Ensuing... The Browns Just Might Have An Out!

Ditch DeFraud already... I'm sick of this on going saga...
This encounter sounds more like Flugel and Dutch, especially when it mentioned vagina!
Seriously, if you substitute the word Flugel for Doe, and Dutch for Watson, this story sounds a lot more. believable.

We're both living rent-free in that head of yours, aren't we Ghoolie Always Ike Turner? ?
Ooh, let's get more of those so terribly interesting "Shitpanski is a coffee fetcher" posts out of you! Sooner than later, you'll be shitting yourself in a nursing home and all your "Shitpanski" posts on here will become deliciously ironic, Ghoolie Always Chris Brown...

Rumor has it that Houston ownership/management initiated the first volley of accusations as a negotiation ploy aimed at making him undesirable to other suitors and it got out of hand. Could the Browns be playing one of the last cards in that deck? He had to have known about this prior to 4:25 yesterday.

I've always thought the whole timing of the allegations was very, very interesting regarding the Texans. And this coming out right after a horrible opener is, well, what conspiracy theories are made of.
-
I will say it is interesting that it surfaces now all of a sudden... Even though I think Defraud is a dip shit... It could be likely he's being set up... Just a hunch on either end...
It happened allegedly in Oct 2020, so would the league apply stuff for one that far back that seems bent on destroying a career? And where was this person when the others from that time got settled?
-
I would love to get rid of Watson, but....unless there's some sort of proof of this assault I don't see anything happening. I despise the stupid trade. Likely the worst trade in the history of all sports, and I've never liked Watson or considered him to be an elite qb. But....if this is a fabricated accusation, whoever initiated it, should be put away. Anybody can accuse anybody else of anything with no proof.

Who knows Nicks? Right now, I seriously wonder if that shoulder should even be medically cleared to play. Did anyone see his throwing motion or overall mechanics Sunday? Sometimes it looked like a chicken wing trying to throw a football. The thought of Crablegs starting doesn't excite me at all. One of the last seasons he started in Tampa he threw 30 INTs that year. He's finished goods. After what I saw from DTR this preseason, he made accurate mid to deep throws that sailed on him last year. In other words, the lad has worked at his craft. That said, I usually don't put a lot of stock in pre-season success. For example, Caleb Williams found out the opener was a lot more challenging than the preseason vanilla against players that are hoping to make practice squads.
Last year, DTR had a humbling beginning against the Ratbirds when he was told the morning of the game "you're stating Kid - go get him." That might have been fine if he practiced at all with the starters during the week of preparation. They have one of the most complicated defenses (the even Michigan won a National Championship using) for a rookie with 0 preparation to take on. However, when he came in vrs the Steelers. He had to lead an offense that wasn't doing much on the ground to game winning points with very little time left. The margin of error for him was down to 0 - or better put, 1 mistake by him means Browns lose. He made all the throws while knowing where and when to scramble. He led us to the game winning points. He improved.
If Phipps didn't fail - we might not have ever learned Brian Sipe had an NFL MVP season in his/our future. That wasn't overnight by any means but the learning process seems a bit more accelerated these days for whatever the flock it's worth.

lol, this last accuser is clearly a haslam plant. Dumb strategy from the haslams as it will require the NFL to suspend him (they won't because they still want to punish Jimmy for this contract), AND will require the right outcome in the courts. Jimmy would be better off making it look like Deshaun had an autoerotic asphyxiation "accident." Not a single person would suspect foul play.

Well said! It'll be very interesting to see what happens. The fact that Houston has been heavily rewarded for all this (when the guy was actually their employee when it all went down) doesn't seem right at all.

I've been saying/writing that for 3 years!!!!
Look, where there's smoke, there's fire. DW definitely has issues, no doubt.
Cliff notes, if you will....
- The Texans said he'd be involved in their GM search. They lied and hired somebody without DW input....he pouted, held out, then the smear campaign began.
- Busbee, the next door neighbor to the owner, is put in charge of "erasing DW"
- Haslam, in his quest for SB glory, once again wants the "shiny new toy," probably because DePodesta said it was a good idea.
- Haslam signs off on over paying
- So much media attention on the dumb Browns doing this, especially nationally. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk goes on a crusade (that's still going on btw) taking shots at Cleveland
- The TEXANS get to keep the three #1 picks despite ENABLING DW with his hotel rooms. The only "punishment" they received was a 5th round pick taken away on some weird technicality
Hmmm.....any guesses as to where this latest allegation came from? Yeah, Tony Busbee.
In no means am I endorsing the move to get DW. We all know it was dumb. Haslam was willing to take that chance- he simply doesn't know how to win, how to run a pro franchise.
Damn folks. We are all here because we're Browns fans. Unfortunately, we've experienced some real shitty ownership with our favorite team.
I could go on & on about the NFL and their stupid player punishment design. Bottom line, it's we CLEVELAND fans who are more upset about the punishments than DW or Josh Gordon.
Is this crap ever going to end?

This allegation is very fucked up even if it’s partially true.
Void his contract and donate the remainder to women’s shelters in the Cleveland and Houston area, without the cap hit.

Remember and let's not forget Haslam was the man who screwed customers out of rebate money then selling Pilot J to Alan Greenspan.. Haslam has no core values.. He is pure trash...

No, not Houston, sorry. They escaped this debacle with Goodell's blessing...
Not only that but consider this Bob...If Watson lays another egg on Sunday.. They go into the bye I believer after that... Someone will correct me either way.. But the point being.. He's losing.. If not already has lost the locker room.. Guys will start chirping and saying.. "Why should we bust our ass for this asshole" This would segue in giving Crab legs the start... This team could literally implode!.. And Watson could get this entire regime fired... This situation is getting volatile...

Yep, the worst case scenario is certainly possible.
Haslam has painted himself into a corner..
A) Cut DW based on allegations, then good luck attracting free agents.
Keep him & let courts/lawyers decide it, well the team could implode per your scenario.
C) The fans just want a winner. Haslam angered many fans in the first place with this deal. Sunday, it was really an ugly scene. Lots of boos, deservedly so. And of course, lots of Browns fans sold their tickets on the secondary market, the place was 30% Dallas fans. A total bleep-show IMHO.
Sometimes I think I'm an idiot. I renewed my season tickets again, mainly because I believed we have a contending team.
I get the feeling this is 2021 all over again.....playing another injured QB, because he's in the payroll. The difference ( to me) is DW is mentally fried....who wouldn't be after the bed he's made.

I'm getting to the Stockholm Syndrome part of the relationship with the browns lol!! ?

If we lose free agents because we cut a man with 25 cases of alleged sexual misconduct and assault, that's a pill I'm willing to swallow.

Absolutely... he reminds me of that other slimeball businessman (whose name I'm blanking on right now) who is known for never paying contractors and lawyers who work for him. Guy built this bullshit "university" that was found to be ripping people off for years and it got shut down.

IMO, I don't think cutting Watson if he got suspended again would hurt the Browns with free agency. I think keeping a toxic guy on the roster who isn't performing would actually hurt the Browns worse.
I know the Browns aren't the Chiefs, but I doubt KC lost out on free agents after they cut Kareem Hunt.

When I started following football I did my research and worked with my heart. I've lived in Ohio but I've also lived in Commanders territory a lot longer, Tennessee, Florida, and Michigan. I now live no where in the US so I had lots of options. I picked Browns for a lot of reasons - but being the most winning team was not one of them. Quite the opposite. Trying to win by any means necissary has not worked, including giving clearly bad apples record breaking contracts. What we were left with is someone with no integrity off the field and no performance on the field. Personally, I wish Haslam would clean it up. If we keep losing I'll still be a Browns fan but what would make that a lot easier is if we cut back on the dirt outside game time. I'd rather have a team of boy scouts who lose most of the season but set a good example for young fans than a super bowl champion team with Ted Bundy at center, Jeffery Dahmer at QB, and John Wayne Gacy as WR. I know this isn't very good jock brain of me but I feel that as a business, which is what this is, there is still money to be made in that. I think a team you can be proud of can sell tickets, sell merch, win or not. If Clevalnd didn't love underdogs they wouldn't love the Browns. Opening day and I got confused because there was an elf printed on the field but everyone was cheering for the cowboys. When I think of Clevland I think rock and roll hall of fame, and the Browns. Its a core identity that goes beyond winning any particular game. And I feel like, from my admittedly somewhat outside perspective, the soul of the browns tends to reflect the soul of the city.
Integrity does matter. What athletes add to society outside entertainment is role models for kids - lessons in hard work, practice, team work, leadership. Beating people in hotel rooms, sexual harassment and assault, domestic violence... Like it or not when you keep those people on the roster you tell kids this is ok you can be successful and do these things. So they already aren't doing their job and when you don't do your job you get fired. Add to that, the fact that they aren't even doing what is seen as their job by everyone who isn't a virtue signaling bleeding heart loser like me - by winning games... And I'm not sure what the return on investment is supposed to be.

We need some AI to auto post why the browns can’t cut Watson every time someone suggests it. They literally can’t unless they move everybody and get an expansion roster next year. Burning a roster spot on the 53 is the only reasonable option, or lose until he inevitably ends up on IR, or hope he miraculously turns it around.
It’s a shame we dumped 2 QBs who proved they can produce in the stefanski offense (Flacco, Jacoby) just because we’re handcuffed by this loser.
I really wish we had the Flacco and DTR combo with the sexual abuser sulking on the bench. Those games were fun.
