Guardians complete the sweep vs the Pale Hose of Chicago, while the Royals lose 2 of 3 vs the Yankees in New York.

Back up to 4.5 games over Kansas City.

At this rate  .575. CLE would finish  93-69  or better  with the current  HOME  schedule.     Maybe  95-67 ?   97-65 ?

The  HOME. push is on !     😁

Here's my Nick Saban reverse rat poison...

The 1954 Indians won 111 games. The 1995 Indians won 100 games.

111 wins probably isn't feasible. 100 wins is feasible and use the momentum to slingshot into the playoffs!

    LET'S GO TRIBE!

  • G's fall behind Twins quickly 3-0, fight back to 3-2... then Kyle Manzardo crushes a first pitch fastball into the right field stands with Josh Naylor on second in the 8th inning.

Clase nails down the 9th for his franchise tying 46th save.

  • G's score three in the 10th to come back and win, beating the Twins 6-5.

Their magic number to make the playoffs is 1, magic number to win the A.L. Central is 5.

The Royals are currently losing to the Tigers (who are insanely hot right now) 4-1, bottom of the 7th.

  • Guardians roll to a 5-1 win tonight, and as I write this the Royals are down to their final at bat losing 2-0 to the Giants.

Magic number on the verge of being 1.

Edit: Giants hold off Royals, win 2-1. MAGIC NUMBER FOR GUARDIANS TO WIN A.L. CENTRAL IS 1!

  • Central Division Champs!

  • About a month ago the upstart Royals had finally caught the Guardians. For one day, they were tied for first place after winning the first three games of a four game series vs the Gs, and were up in the fourth game, about to take over first place, when the Guardians rallied and salvaged a win, and first place.

Today, the Royals got hammered at home vs the Giants, allowing the Guardians to win the franchise's 12th American League Central Division championship.

  • Guardians beat the Reds 6-1, secure a first series bye!

    👍

  • What's up next ?   The  GUARDIANS  have made us   😁 proud of them with playoff baseball.

Who has clinched a spot in the playoffs?

On Friday, the Phillies clinched their third straight trip to the playoffs with a 12-2 demolishing of the Mets. They secured the NL East title with a 6-2 win over the Cubs on Monday. They're competing with the Dodgers for the NL's No. 1 seed.

    ■  On Thursday, the  ▪︎ Guardians clinched their ticket to October with 3-2 walk-off victory against the Twins. ▪︎ Cleveland secured the AL Central title on Saturday, and with Tuesday's 6-1 victory over the Reds, they ★ secured the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the American League, meaning they  have a BYE   through the wild-card round and  with their  MLB best home record  will also  host the an  ALDS.  ■

Also Thursday, the Dodgers clinched their 12th straight postseason appearance with a 20-4 (yes, 20-4) victory over the Marlins. Ohtani delivered an absolutely historic performance to seal the first 50-50 season in MLB history. The Dodgers have not yet secured the NL West title or their postseason seed.

The Brewers clinched the NL Central title on Wednesday but have not yet clinched their playoff seed. The Chicago Cubs' 5-3 defeat to the Oakland A's secured the division for the Brewers.

    ● Also Wednesday, the Yankees clinched the AL's first postseason spot with their 2-1 victory over the Mariners in extra innings. The Yankees have not yet secured the AL East title or their postseason seed. ●
