I am going to try this Friday night for the game. Never shoved a beer can up the ass of a chicken before grilling, but I will be doing it with 2 birds before the game Friday.

~  AND   ~  looking straight  East  over the   ︎ 11'  x  14' ︎   brick   ︎ PATIO   is our    ︎ 3  burner  GRILL    which we use    A LOT !     And  for our quick   meals  and other things  we have our small  dining table & chairs which are  always  out there.    Our  HERB GARDEN   (which we have most pulled up for the fall)  runs behind the house.

You can also see the  Bay Window  off of the  Dining Room  in one picture.

 ~  ALSO   ~  the  TV  and  Stereo Radio  all-weather  wooden cabinet for  COLLEGE  and  PRO      ?     FOOTBALL  and  MLB         BASEBALL  plus the  RADIO  only. games.    And  CABLE TV  and  CABLE Music,  movies  and full  CABLE   channels  ... we can get it    ALL   OUTSIDE .

That pretty much wraps up           the backyard pictures  with our   grills  and  gardens.     Thanks everyone,    mjp.

Some Johnsonville brats on the grill and jalapeño poppers in the oven.

Multiple ways to make poppers; these are jalapeños from our garden, cream cheese and local bacon. They'll be in a 350° oven for 45 minutes. I drizzle with honey, sometimes, I sprinkle brown sugar.

The cheese of your choice can be grated and mixed with the cream cheese and piped into the peppers. I just cut the cream cheese into strips and put it inside the pepper and wrap with a piece of bacon. Sometimes I cover the pepper with sausage and wrap in bacon to make armadillo eggs.

I prefer jalapeños grown at home to store bought because store bought have had the heat bred out if them.

Thanks. I've got six children. So every meal turns into a micro, micro catering event...plus some leftovers.

Thanks  Tex,  I know you have been there with me for years now.

This is my   4th   hospital this year of  2024   and by far the   hardest   of all of them.

I've been in the hospital   every year  for the past.  11 years   now.    All similar hip & infection related.

Not sure this is my favorite Browns meal, but wow, a smoked beer can chicken took the sting out of a dismal 1st half yesterday. Only 2 hours at 300*

Just caught up with this - sorry to hear - a friends' daughter had a hip inffection and serious damage, took years for it to be fixed and healed with another surgery.

  I have two bionic knees now. After my second one, my surgeon asked if I had any questions - I asked "how soon can I go back and play football in high school?". The nurse said she'd never seen him laugh like that.

   I hope they can give you a bionic hip and fix all that. Fighting all those years - just wait til you get it all fixed. You will surely be so freaking grateful. Prayers that comes true soon.

He had been through this so many times I don't think either of us realized this would be has last battle. It's still a real shock that he could not prevail just one more time. He's now joined the best in Gipper, Stan, Tour (Bruce) and probably other good Browns fans from here over the years. I'm sure they have welcomed Mike into his "new" brotherhood. Most likely with a beer and some tasty dish he had never tried before. R.I.P. Mike.?
