I followed closely, as I was truly undecided after RFK bailed.

One week before the election at a college campus, she couldn't answer students questions on the border, just deflected.

She had a plan for Black Men seeking entrepreneurship, and a 1st time home buyer plan. Everything else was deflection.

For as organized as the Dems have been, it was a dismal campaign IMHO.

She failed on the border because she tried to match the conservatives. She isn't going to out conservative Trump on the border. Being around more liberal college kids she couldn't just repeat conservative talking points.

Again though, she was absolutely held to a double standard on how detailed her policies had to be vs trump.

I agree it was an awful campaign. It had a chance against another awful campaign, but didn't win.

I'd like to think they go back to the drawing board and realize what Americans actually want but I doubt it

That’s the stupidest shit I’ve read all day…congratulations!

Call me surprised. I honestly thought the Roe vs Wade overturn was really going to be the difference.

Glad to see people prioritized safety & economy over a social issue.

Abortion rights won in almost every state, like 2022. Wild that people can vote to protect reproductive rights but then also vote for the guy that put in motion what was needed to strip those rights to begin with

She failed on the border because she allowed a massive illegal invasion.

There is no double standard, it wasn't details, it was any policy she couldn't state.

Simply put, she isn't qualified to lead anything let alone a Presidency.

Trump wasn't voted in because Harris was bad though, he was voted in because he did a good job and people know he can help this country. That's why he won both electoral and popular votes.

  • And to think most of you won't even be around anymore when we're truly dealing with the implications stemming from the next 4 years.

We don’t anticipate not being here. They’ll be good implications. Bad for you maybe.

The mudslinging is awful on both sides. Major turn off, but it seems to work, or at least bring results closer. 51-49% or 52-48% isn't a decisive outcome.

America wants more compromising, but the parties don't hear it.

Would love a third party but that's a pipe dream right now

As a well off straight white male I'm sure I'll be fine.

But I'm concerned about the implications for other groups and for future generations.tl

Trump has said a lot of very concerning shit. His cronies even moreso. I just hope he doesn't actually act on most of it

True, it would take an unreal amount of money, plus a very neutral-type platform to break through and make a difference. You might be too young, but Ross Perot was actually gaining ground in the early 90s as a 3rd party Independent. Had a decent showing at the polls....guess what? The Ds & Rs met, and made sure that would never happen again, and changed the rules (for debates and 3rd party candidates). When Perot tried to run again in 1996, he was stymied, and honestly, his messages were a little too crazy at that point in time.

I still cannot believe $500 million was spent on a single-seat Ohio Senate race. We should all be up in arms about that, no matter who you support.

I'd say VP Vance has come up like a miracle.  From a upbringing in a small SE Ohio town to VP.  Guy is smart as hell.   He does a great job he can be the President for 8 years after Trump leaves office.  😁😁

four years of being VP under Pres Trump - he will be a GREAT candidate. And a very qualified Commander-in-Chief.

so many of the young college harris kids have no idea to consider that.

Ranked choice voting would help make a 3rd party more viable

    Why don’t you just sit

    the next 4 years out.

    let

the adults straighten out the mess from the last 4 years.

    Trump

should have zero obstacles in his way.  Time to perform.

I really don't know that much about it, but I've heard it's implemented elsewhere.

I'm a lot of other democracies. Helps fight against a two party oligopoly.

I think some states do it as well

What do you even care about about a 2 party when you were fine voting for a half dead or an installed person?
