    lol

A liberal finger wagging about redefining words.

Staffing is ultimately based on needs of the students. If you want to liken mandating a school to provide staffing that ensures a student becomes well rounded rather than indoctrinated in order to receive funding as “conservative dei” knock yourself out, cuz that’s actually a good thing.

What you are unwittingly doing by calling it “dei for Conservatives” is giving DEI the bad name it deserves.

I don't care whether you think it is good or not (which, fyi, you calling it good gives DEI a good name, at least how you all interpret it... I'm very aware of the point I'm making).

It's mandating the hiring of conservatives and the admittance of conservative students. Do you disagree with that?

yes, I disagree - it's mandating FAIRNESS and TALENT/ACHIEVEMENT is what needs to be the hiring standard. Harvard has VIOLATED THAT. Did you go to school in backwards land?

Moochigan is Hiljack territory... Don't expect too much lol

  • - most of Trump's base also doesn't understand why research exists or better their lives

    - most of Trump's base doesn't understand that taxes fund public services they use

    - does higher education indoctrinate folks to liberalism or are more educated people with more exposure to diversity more likely to hold liberal ideals?

    - if universities are losing tax exempt status then I image churches and other religious institutions are next, right?

Only the churches that receive a $53 billion dollar endowment.

    Hahahaha

Ok so Cal is pro DEI. Good to know

    Mandating hiring of "diverse viewpoints"

Obviously you morons are never going to understand the blatant hypocrisy here, or at the very least you'll never admit it, but it's always fun watching you squirm

  • you lefties, woodpecker, LOVE reverse discrimination. THAT is what the Pres Trump admin is talking about. Reverse discrimination is WRONG. but it buys votes for the democommie party, so, you go with it.

  • The fact you're even using the term "reverse discrimination" is hilarious. It lets anyone know where you're at.

And based on your other links, you're still not following along here. I can't make it any clearer. Oh well

Now that was funny… you think you make people squirm.

How can you say you’re having fun when you’re this angry?

  • If you have a problem with this maybe you ought to think about whether DEI was ever a good practice to begin with.

You're getting closer to the hypocrisy I'm pointing out that's getting completely ignored by some on here

  • woodpecker redefines "dei" as hiring/promotions based on being gay/trans/birdbrains regardless of ability or accomplishment.

just more perverted definitions from birdie:

What you're calling hypocrisy is just something the left created by ranking who should be hired in a heiarchy and putting the actual most desirable candidates at the bottom. I'm full time management now and I can tell you 100% that I'm not hiring a black, trans, neuroqueer leftist to represent my company to clients. It would not give any of them an ounce of confidence that we would accomplish the job we're being contracted for.

Great to hear you're considering race and sexual orientation in hiring. The exact same thing you and others claim "the left" is doing.

  • no, woodpecker, DEI is demanded the fringe be hired, no matter what their qualifications.

It's a free country, an employer must have the OPTION to not hire whoever would make his company look bad.

That's where you're wrong, as usual, again. Seperate almost any of those things from each other and a person can be seen as being serious.

Put them together and you might as well dress them in clown gear with a rubber chicken.

And you're so fucking disingenuous and dishonest. You know perfectly well what the left is doing.

You said you weren't hiring people based on their race and sexual orientation. Sounds like exactly what posters on here claim the left is doing. Literally your words from your post.

I've been hiring folks for a while now and I'm hiring the best people for the team. I also recognize and have seen the benefits of a team with diversity in thought / how they attack problems

And, again (more to others on here) this fantasy that our country was always a meritocracy and it is only just now changing cuz of DEI is a fucking joke. The same people that would tell you America needs to return to the 50s and not recognize any of the many many problems with that.

  • I can't speak for Cysko but you know the main difference here is Cysko isn't following a directive, a policy?

He's just an individual following his own rules and whatever.

DEI is a policy set to discriminate.

    Riiiiiight.

And if an individual said they only want to hire gay black women, not because there's a "directive", but because they just want to, then you'd be cool with it. ....

At the end of the day, like most things the right gets you all to react to, there's a difference between reality and the fearmongering propaganda you're fed. You've made up your mind on what DEI is and what it means, in a way that aligns with your already held beliefs, and nothing is changing that. It's clear based on what you post here you and others are too far down that rabbit hole and I'm not gonna change your mind. So I'll just point out the hypocrisy as I see it.

But you can continue to live in the fantasy world where DEI is the only thing preventing a meritocracy in our country. Where every straight, white male in a position of power is completely based on merit. Where every underrepresented minority in a position of power that you don't like is only there because of the vague, mysterious DEI. Also woke and trans and whatever over words are triggering you.
