The Official Preseason Browns at Panthers Game Thread

This Benny Hill routine Sanders does has to go. His commitment to trying to outrun an entire defense in the backfield borders on comedic.

Retreating too much. But sometimes, like with that catch, it works.

Now that was a pretty TD pass. I had no idea we picked up Trayveon Williams.
-
Is he starting to look like a QB for you yet tia??

Now THAT was a pro throw. Needs to work a little more on sliding his feet and not 'over traveling' within the pocket. But great job getting your eyes back down field, locating the influence on the single high and threading the backside dig.

Me neither and he's an Aggie.

Judging from Njoku on the sidelines, I think he knows he has a QB now.

Sanders looks better than I expected. That's going to make tough on Gabriel or Pickett as one will likely not make the team

It was basically a 20 yard fastball hitting the bottom of the zone.

It was an ok debut by Sanders. Some good and some bad, but there wasn’t a whole lot of completely awful. No Ints and only 1 sack.

Hey, he's in season 3 of "Special Forces" on Fox late Sept.?

This is the proper perspective. He did some good things working off script, quite a bit that needs touched up. Did some ok things working in structure when the reads were there and he didn't feel pressure.
Still retreating a bit much at times. Still needs to work on getting his eyes to the right places and taking a 2nd look at "float" defenders and safety depth.
Good some good, did some questionable. But the media will begin the hype train.

Thoughts and clips on the twits.
Follow along, my friends.

Shadeur's got excellent arm talent. He's going to get himself murdered if he keeps trying that hero ball shit against starters. I think we should start him week 1.

I get the idea the Browns secondary really works on reach around pass break ups. They’ve had a few this night and they were not called for PI. Right place, right time, good timing and good form.

Sanders is kinda socially awkward. His interview skills come off as quirky.
