  • Sanders looks better than I expected.  That's going to make tough on Gabriel or Pickett as one will likely not make the team

  • Now THAT was a pro throw.   Needs to work a little more on sliding his feet and not 'over traveling' within the pocket.   But great job getting your eyes back down field, locating the influence on the single high and threading the backside dig.

It was basically a 20 yard fastball hitting the bottom of the zone.

  • Judging from Njoku on the sidelines, I think he knows he has a QB now.

San Francisco 49ers v Cleveland Browns

  • It was an ok debut by Sanders. Some good and some bad, but there wasn’t a whole lot of completely awful. No Ints and only 1 sack.

Hey, he's in season 3 of "Special Forces" on Fox late Sept.?

This is the proper perspective.  He did some good things working off script, quite a bit that needs touched up.   Did some ok things working in structure when the reads were there and he didn't feel pressure.

Still retreating a bit much at times.   Still needs to work on getting his eyes to the right places and taking a 2nd look at "float" defenders and safety depth.

Good some good, did some questionable.       But the media will begin the hype train.

  • Thoughts and clips on the twits.

    Follow along, my friends.    ❤️

  • Shadeur's got excellent arm talent. He's going to get himself murdered if he keeps trying that hero ball shit against starters. I think we should start him week 1.

  • Woofs. Just stopped by to say I'm fired up.

  • I get the idea the Browns secondary really works on reach around pass break ups. They’ve had a few this night and they were not called for PI. Right place, right time, good timing and good form.

  • Sanders is kinda socially awkward. His interview skills come off as quirky.

It's ok, keep on throwing TDs lol

    TY

I'm on the air at the moment, or I would stop in

  • Overall a good night for the Browns with lots of talent seen both sides of the ball. Better depth than I thought we had.

  • Shadeur's got excellent arm talent. He's going to get himself murdered if he keeps trying that hero ball shit against starters. I think we should start him week 1.

Didn't he play against starters? Looked pretty dood.

  • I didn’t realize the Browns had an official bacon of the Cleveland Browns. Sugardale, apparently.

If you look at the little Browns logo in the bottom corner, it kinda looks like bacon. Genius marketing.

  • Joe Thomas is extremely good at broadcasting. He’s personable and he has that knack like Romo does where he can slip in nuts and bolts talk in layman’s terms.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the voice of the Cleveland Browns at some point.

  • I watched a Panther feed.  I've seen nor heard nothing about the game from media yet.

As someone who is pulling for Sanders,  I think he would've been walking towards the tunnel not being very satisfied with his performance.

I think that he missed some really easy throws, especially while on the move, which has been a knock on him.  And when the pass wasn't there while the pocket was breaking apart he kept going backwards to try and go sandlot, which has been a knock on him.  So I think those plays are going to have him rolling around in bed instead of sleeping tonight.

Having said that, it wasn't all bad.  He did make some nice throws.  He never looked lost or confused to me.  It never looked like the game was too fast or that the stage was too big.  If I were Stef, I'd walk up to him and say something like, You've got stuff to work on!  But you did alright out there.

I'll add this, early in the game he scrambled around the right side, ran upfield, got the first down and hit the ground with a beautiful slide.  My brain said out loud, ALREADY he's smarter than Watson!  🙂

Other stuff:  #49 was always around the ball.  Making tackles, assisting on tackles, just being a PITA to the offense.  Was good to see.

#84 did a  good job.  He caught passes, caught the punts, seems to be pretty quick afoot.  Was good to see.

#80 caught one over the middle and tried to muscle his body towards the first down yardage.  He didn't get it, but the Panthers had to call in the cavalry because they were getting a Thrashing.  🙂   Was good to see.

#53 did a pretty good job I thought...

I want to see our OTHER kicker out there for the next game.  Hopkins missed one extra point, and ALMOST missed another.  The only kick that looked good was the short FG.   - Was not good to see.

And Huntley did well considering he only just got a uniform...and must know that he's got no spot on the team unless multiple QB's get hurt.

  • Add in #66 on STs and interior line play. He makes the team for ST kickoff play alone. Marshall and newly added Williams both look better than Ford ever has in terms of finding wiggle room and going for it. And both showed speed. And depth at TE is an unexpected plus. Glad to see this offense utilize them.
