True...but the long completion to Bond was almost  a TD...so it's kind of a wash.  Plus, who knows how many more yards Judy would've gotten if he didn't stop running after catching his  long ball...

I've said before, Sampson should be utilized in the passing game.  He can catch, has some twitch, and can accelerate to top speed quickly.  I feel that he'd be more valuable coming out of the backfield, motioning to the slot or the sidelines, than many of our WR room of practice squad receivers.

Tillman did a nice job blocking on Sampson's screen TD.

Just saying, throwing out number of passes to get above 200 yards without context of a screen pass going 66 yards is a bit misleading/disingenuous

    Great win by the Browns.

Shedder looked a lot better than I thought he would. His intermediate and deep throws are accurate. Took him 20 pass attempts to get 200 yards, when it took Gabriel 50.

We gotta start Shedeur. We know Gabriel's ceiling at this point.

to be fair gabriel never had a pass go over 30 yards sanders had 3

  • Did yaz happen to notice Stef trying to minimize the use of his Special Teams at the end of the game?   We were right there in FG range...yet Stef punted.  I mean...the FG could've been blocked.  Even if the FG was good we'd have to kick off to them and tackle the guy with the ball.  🙂

    I can’t say I’ve ever seen a NFL team punt inside the opposing team’s 30 before ?

Probably wanted to give Myles another chance to pad his sacks total for the year. He’s 5 away from the single season record.

Yeah because he missed his wide open receiver who would've taken it to the house in the Jets game I think.

I do not recall any missed screen pass setup in the Jets game.

I am not trying to defend Gabriel.  I am simply pointing out that stats and stat comparisons in a vacuum (example: X number of passes to get to X number of passing yards), without context, can be very misleading

Score was 24-10, with about 1 minute left. LV is out of TOs.  No reason to even attempt a 51 yard FG.  Simply missing it gives LV the ball on their 41 yard line.  That is providing opportunity for a quick TD, an onside kick, and time to do it all.

This has less to do with STs (punt team is still ST) and more to do with game and time management.  Provide the greatest distances with the least amount of game time for the opponent to score two TDs.  If LV is trailing by 7 or 10 the approach would be different.

Agreed. But 30 more pass attempts to get 13 more yards is enough to say otherwise.

Regardless, I'm pumped to see how this offense looks this Sunday vs the 49ers.

I don't think that Myles played anymore after that punt.

  • It's super easy to root against a guy when the hype is absolutely out of control. I mean he did ok but Legendary? Legendary?

That's the thing, it is not.  At least not when you factor in one playing being a 1ish yard pass which went 66.  Sanders stat line looks a whole lot different without Sampson taking that screen to thr house (and the great downfield blocking).  That said, Sanders showed ability and willingness to take deeper throws.  This is something Dillon has not shown.

SF will be a good challenge and litmus test.

Gabriel completely overthrew a WR screen against Jets which looked like it was gonna go for a huge play with blockers out in front.
Sure, he is lefty and had to turn around to make the pass. He also missed a short pass to Njoku against NE which was intercepted for almost 6.

Sanders ball placement looked effortless on short and deep throws.

Massive difference in poise and mechanics.

You're right, Gabriel missed a throw on a screen... badly.

But it's disingenuous to call an orbit motion to HB swing the same as a misdirection throwback off a bootleg.

Two differently blocked and timed plays.

Pooch punt.  Some QBs have practiced it.

Last one I can vividly remember with my autistic level recall is Tate Forcier vs Notre Dame in 2009.

I agree, The 2 plays were not equal… if DG didn’t miss, the end result would have been similar.
They were alike as they were both short throws with blockers out in front.

DG one day might be calm and ready.

I just don’t think that day is now.
