To Shedeur, or not to Shedeur? (draft)

Build that OL and then see what kind of QB we already have as he learns to read and throw faster. He has the arm and he has they moxie. Just needs a bit more time.

I have no idea how good Sanders can be long-term, but I'll be interested in seeing how he looks with a full NFL off-season.

Sheduer named Pro Bowl alternate. Yes I thought it was satire too but Bleacher Report confirmed it.

Adam Schefter did too.
Well after all, they did retire his jersey in Colorado. ?
I didn't know the "Rooney Rule" applied to the pro bowl, too......
-
Great for him! But it's sad. Nobody wants to be bothered with it so they have to go down the list until they find someone who'll go...and he gets to be a pro bowl player. Just do away with the festivities and return the honor of being a pro bowler. Shedeur shouldn't be one.

A great point, shows just how corrupt the NFL seems to be, more and more.

"
Before today, Patriots QB Drake Maye, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, and Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert were the three QBs listed on the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster. With Maye going to the Super Bowl, his spot needed to be filled, hence why Sanders had the opportunity to be named to the roster. Still, there was more that led to Sanders being the NFL’s choice:
The AFC’s Pro Bowl QBs were Drake Maye, Josh Allen, and Justin Herbert.
Maye is going to the Super Bowl. The other two are banged up. We’ll see if they stay.
Bo Nix got injured.
Patrick Mahomes is injured.
Daniel Jones is injured. That’s how it trickles down to Shedeur… https://t.co/YdPE9vv4cd
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) January 26, 2026
As NFL insider Ari Meirov lays out, Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, and Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones are all injured. All three of these options could have, and probably would have, been the names the NFL chose from, but instead, this honor went to Sanders."
**************************************************
and now, for that great point:
"Looking at other options the NFL had, even with the three QBs above being injured, it’s hard to argue that Sanders was more deserving. One player in particular who jumps out is Jacksonville Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence.
His team was 13-4, and Lawrence is a league MVP nominee. Using PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, we can see that he is ranked 16th overall among all QBs this season, while Sanders is ranked 46th.
48 NFL quarterbacks qualified for PFSN’s QB Impact metric in 2025.
Shedeur Sanders ranked 46th, with a 56.9 grade. ? https://t.co/6FfjfekyY0 pic.twitter.com/VsBVvbQlDS"
*****************************************
so, Lawrence is the wrong skin color when the NFL had a chance to be bigoted again? (referring to the way the superbowl halftimes have been going, the political messages on helmets....)

Let's see that point again for emphasis:

Was it DEI when Mac Jones was made pro bowl alternate?
I guess this would imply Huntley was a DEI.
What this tells you is
a) pro bowl is essentially meaningless award
b) the vast majority of people dont know how alternate works at this point. Lawrence was already an alternate, so this means he declined

Did we hire a new GM that understands this finally?
I welcome the only Defensive Coordinator to earn a Superbowl Ring in New Orleans while understanding Revenge of the Nerds is a sequel. "Come get some!" -

I didn't think of that, Lawrence declining. But the pro bowl is worse than a farce, now.

Yeah, that was a joke too. Wasn't that the last actual tackle football game of the pro bowl.
Look, I actually like Sanders...but I don't think that he should've been named to the pro bowl. So whatever the mechanism is that got Sanders the pro bowl title to his name ( whomever wants to go to the pro bowl step forward. And everyone but Sanders takes a step back ) should be trashed....like the whole pro bowl event thingy itself. Just announce the All Pro selections. And then the respective pro bowl squads, AFC & NFC, and that's it. If ya want, the All Pro's get and All Pro ring...and the rest get a Pro Bowl ring. - My 2 cents.
only in the movies
