Knew several friends who attended college at the U of Findlay (Oilers.) I have friends from Findlay and I worked with people from Findlay. In fact, here are the numbers: Findlay to Detroit: 83 miles. Findlay to Cincinnati: 161 miles. Findlay to Cleveland: 97 miles
And yea, I do have a hick relation (by marriage) from St. Mary's that has told me that that area is primarily Browns fans. One was a City Councilman, the other a dentist, another a turkey farmer.

Right Coop. Like I said, they may have developed their alleged affinity for the Steelers only after their hometown boy started playing there. Such is understandable, sort of. But then, perhaps we need to ask this: What contribution did growing up in Findlay make to BR's alleged aberrant behavior? Should the townspeople of Findlay take or be held responsible somewhat for the breeding and nurturing of an alleged serial sex offender? Should they be ashamed for perhaps developing, or at least tolerating a person of such an alleged deviant nature? Should we be concerned that there are more deviants coming out of that town? Hello, When I said Detroit I meant about 8-10 years ago (before big bens rise), and where detroit actually played , The Silverdome. I too have never felt Hines Ward was overrated. He is/(was?) a very good, tough player....but I also noted that he DID, on occasion commit what most feel is a dirty play.
On BR, I felt that in his first few years in the league he may have been overrated. I still do NOT believe that he was a key factor to the Steelers SB win in 2005. That title was won by that team's superior defense and running game, and any competent, mistake free QB could have brought home that title.
2008 is another matter. I think BR WAS a key element, if not The key element to their win that year. They became far more of a passer reliant team, and he delivered in the clutch quite a bit. Obviously, especially in the Super Bowl. I didn't like seeing that, but it was a fact.
