Where is Flugel and his weak 40-times?

Ah, finally, recognition from even his homies that Flugel is nothing but a full of crap fudger who'd stoop to downright lying to make his weak arguments. Gee Skip, what took you so long? But why be surprised? Flugel is the same coward who ran away from the steroids thing when I showed him the ESPN documentary about the '64 Chargers being the REAL pioneers of team-wide steroid abuse. He's the same chicken who ducked and covered when I called him out for ignoring the mysteriously early deaths from heart attacks of Giants, Saints or Broncos players. I have to say, though, making Flugie my bitch did provide a little entertainment.
Making up fake 40 times! Ha ha ha! Almost as funny as the revenge beatdown the Steelers are gonna lay down on the Brownies in a few weeks.
Good Lord you are essentially that kid from down the street with a maniacal laugh; in a desperate search for a friend will attempt to invade every interaction rummaging around for some nugget of validation for being on the planet.

Back in the day, a character here by the name of Tom Flugel use to post fudged 40-times to support his love for certain prospects. I am getting the feeling that we have returned to such laziness in doing our homework in uncovering just what exactly is wrong with our current Cleveland Browns.
Is it the WR's, such as Bernie Kosar suggest?
Is Josh Cribbs not giving us the spark we need on Special Teams ... and is he washed up in that department as Zombo suggests?
Is the rightside of our OL the major problem with the run game, or are Safeties stacking the line with no fear of our passing game?
Injuries?
QB carosel?
No legit deep threat?
Play Calling and/or coaching in general?
Personnel?
Just focusing on the Offensive side of the ball alone, WTF do we have to work with and what can be fixed by Sunday?
R.I.P. Flugel ...

Be warned while the offensive coaches arent directly responsible for everything that is wrong here almost everything ends up finding its way back to mangini's table as it is the HC that approves and sets up the general perimeters of the personnel/strategy/gameplanning/practice methods/opportunity rewards, motivation and so on...so without further a due i will give my outsiders take,
I see the problems of this teams offense as an absolutely toxic mix of bad coaching and particularly bad repetitive playcalling and design that does not mix things up enough, theres simply not enough proper or creative on the fly player substitution or WR route changing to create doubt and it allows defenses to literally key in on our playmakers with little or no fear of retribution combined with too many non impact players and or under/wrongly utilized players due to the coaches player frustrating even spirit breaking way of determining who plays from week to week or even play to play...simply put he either dislikes certain players or does not trust them or both and the bottomline is it hurts everything including the OCs playcalling and even his on the fly substitution options...
Our playcaller fails to be creative maybe partially because mangini makes him stick to a gameplan and a set of personnel and maybe not, but thats what i keep coming up with anyways, and because of this dabs may find it hard to freely add variation and operate like an OC should be able to...we know the jets OC brian shottenslimer complained to tannenbaum quite often about mangini strangulating and modifying his offense gameplans and playbook and even player substitutions and once farve was forced on mangini the coach pushed brian into modifying his playbook to suit farves pocket passer style which turned out to be a disaster and the likely straw that led to mangini being canned, so we know mangini likes to control every aspect of the game which also leads us to why mangini most likely brought a newbie OC to cleveland knowing full well we needed a pro OC...CONTROL! but along with that full control comes full blame and he doesnt want any part of that and has done a good job of lining daboll up for slaughter...
While he has fooled a lot of over optimistic sheeple fans...i doubt he has fooled holmgren unless holmgren is going to play along in the hope and prayer that mangini can actually learn to coach as a leader instead of a control freak and if thats the case the browns are cooked for 5 more years minimum...and in the beginning mangini has a huge 4 year history of rather shabby to mediocre coaching plus both player and assistant distrust and dislike in him and his methods not to mention jets fans hate him and in the end he has over a year of the same kind of charades here in cleveland...
The players will not speak up nor anyone associated directly to the organization for obvious reasons and sheeples should be aware that you cant always believe what you here but i see the problem as what it is, poor coaching in general...
The truly good coaches find ways to win with what they have and that means mixing things up and adjusting the gameplan and personnel on the fly if and when needed our coach seems to think the QB isnt the most important position and that you can get the ball to 4 player all day and win...just bad coaching plain and simple...
To many limitations and even expectations under those limitations being placed on everyone to feel fear free and self motivated and to just have fun while playing to win...mangini is to busy playing to lose...
The only thing that could be fixed by sunday is if mangini magically transforms into an NFL caliber coach and changes his idiotic philosophies...
I dislike the musical coach carousel as much if not more than many but i do believe we need a change or we will spend at least the next 5 years after this year hovering at or below 8-8...

Thanks Gips, really interesting view.
On the above, I see how this could be true - my question is, surely Mike Homgren can see this if it is the case - where do you think he is at head wise at this point? I am assuming his experience and closeness to the situation will give him a very clear idea of whether our playcalling approach is being strangulated - he doesn't strike me as the kind to put up with that - I bet his HC past has his teeth ground to nothing from the last two games.

given the talent level and the mistakes Im sure he is not that angry with Mangini as we here are making out to be. I know im not.

We can fix up the penalties and the fumbles. Beyond that only talent can help us.
If so, will James Davis & Carlton Mitchell suffice, for at least now?
-
I think our base running package should be 4 wide, spread the defense out force them to drop into coverage instead of stacking the box, then let the o-line do what they do best.

Actually I think thou dost protest too much. In fact, I think you ARE Flugel. That you are actually Flugel's evil alter ego and that it is just an internal struggle within your own soul that is causing you all this consternation. Here's proof, you and Flugel side by side:

I don't really know what Mangini can do. He is dealing with the cards that were dealt him. Until he can mold these guys into his perfect mold this team will still struggle due to the dearth of talent. While I am a firm believer that a coach can make mediocre talent rise above its level, we still are not there yet with this coach, team or talent.

Well, here is hoping that he pulls a Mark Twain and comes in and tells us that reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

I concur....

Carlton Mitchell has the height to make a good target, hopefully he has the hands and the legs too ....
Carlton is one of the BRownsBOard friends on facebook, I think I'll go on there and jack him up for the game.

I don't think he is dead.
I asked him "what's up" in a post awhile back, I think he is just in the middle of replying.
