    I want Haloti Ngata.

Oh wait...philbert already gave him away to our rival so we could draft a bust instead...

Everything I've read has Julio Jones going to the Browns because many believe Green will be off the board. I'm not a big college football fan and only follow the Panthers in a hit or miss fashion. I've always been a NFL guy that being said I think no matter who you draft the current Coach needs to remain unless Holmgren is going to come out of the box which I sincerely doubt. The team needs some continuity and with a good draft this past season keeping Mangini around will only help with this draft and team moral unless Mangini has completely lost the locker room. I doubt he has. Julio Jones is the pick in my opinion and Mangini needs to say. The great teams in the league avoid the Coaching turnstile. I'd say it's time for the Browns to follow suit.

AKA SNATCH98 or Rorbotron. The boards glorious admins decided to get cute and change my name to "homotron" Classy group of people. (Lost a bet with Columbus king and got banned for a month)

I would rather take Blackmon over Jones as Jones has the physical traits that make people wow i believe that blackmon is going to be the better pro, we'll have to wait for the combine but i see Jones running a 4.55 around that area but i would love to have Green he will not be there when we pick give me Blackmon Or Nick Fairley or Marcell Dareus those are my picks but if we take the D in round one we have to try to grab a Jonathan Baldwin or Ryan Broyles in round 2

          I can't believe this, but I agree.

Here is my personal WR Board:

AJ Green (Rd 1)- Think Calvin Johnson

Jonathan Baldwin (Rd 1)- Think a faster Vincent Jackson

            Titus Young(Rd 2-3)- Ochocinco/DeSean Jackson Hybrid

Julio Jones(Rd 1-2)- Larry Fitz, with lesser ball skills

Matt Szczur(Rd 3-4)- Think of a cross between Wes Welker and Dexter Mcluster

I think Titus Young is going to surprise people in the NFL much like Ochocinco did being from the second round, I really like that guy, ALOT!!

On Defense, Robert Quinn is the only standout no-brainer

Yeah, lots of talk about the Bengals taking Green. That'd really piss me off.

We won't go looking for a #1 WR in round three. That'd be nuts and totally unfair to McCoy. You can take a guy for development there (Taylor Price) or as an additional stretch the field threat (Emmanuel Sanders) or just get lucky (Shipley)... but a team with a gaping hole at #1 WR doesn't go fishing in that pond.

We almost certainly have the worst set of WRs in the entire league. Nobody goes into this draft with a more obvious need at WR than the Browns. We have needs on the front 7, but we also have players (Rubin, Rogers, Coleman, Smith, Schaefering, Fujita, Gocong, Benard, and maybe DQJ). It's not a fully stocked shelf... but it isn't bare, either. I could see the 2nd round and a prime f/a slot going there.

BTW, I really don't think we'll stop with the high pick at WR. We'll also sign a free agent. We're incredibly weak there.

Rogers and Coleman will be 32 next year, Smith will be 34 and has been on IR all year. That leaves Rubin and who? The oldest receiver on the team is Stuckey at 27, D-line is a must right now. Our young WR's have shown there getting better and its only their 2nd year. This team is being built to win long term. The long term receiver situation looks promising, long term d-line situation looks retired. My money says were drafting D-line 1st rd.

1st Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU 3rd Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State4th Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma5th Earl Wolff, S, N.C. State6th Lucas Reed, TE, New Mexico

That makes some sense..after Green, I don't think any receiver is top 10 material.

At this point i haven't really focused on who we might pick....i usually wait until people have to declare so I am not talking about people who won't even be available at any pick.

We also have to know who will be coaching, as that impacts matters.

I do know Heckert has done a nice job in previous drafts, and seems to understand line play is pretty important.

I wouldn't be shocked, or disappointed for that matter, if we selected a O or D lineman.....if not QB, but that is another debate.

My feeling is QB's do more for receivers then do receivers for QB's....and QB's can't do much if the line is porous.....a big monster at RT would do wonders for our O, but at this point I don't know if anybody is good enough for that high a pick.

In the end, with a building team such as us, I am not a needs picker. Take the best football player you can in round 1 and look for need in round 2....after that BPA is the road to building a solid team.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

To me our two huge problems other than receiver are stopping the run and pass blocking at RT.

We have missed Robaire a lot and when you miss a 34 year old defensive lineman that is a bad sign. This is supposed to be a deep draft for defensive linemen. My dream draft would be to start with a good free agent receiver then add two defensive linemen and a right tackle in the first three rounds. Yeah we need another linebacker and if there is someone with better value than the next available dl it would be fine with me.

After that I would look to add DB, RB, QB, OL best value picks. Holmgren always takes a qb

For obvious reason i didnt put Luck on here because he wont be available as well as alot of these guys wont like i believe A.J. Green will be gone so im sure he'll grab all these votes but more than likely he will not be there...But if you had the decision who would you draft and why you can even throw in a second round selection if you'd like...Im going Justin Blackmon or Marcel Dareus because i believe they'll be there when we select and Green wont

Yah, I bet Green will be gone. I would pick the first large durable looking (two games each against Pgh and Balt defenses yearly) WR. That would be Julio Jones, 6'4" and 211.

Second round, DL good against the run. don't know who.

                      1.A Julio Jones

                      1.B Von Miller

Might be a little high for Miller, but the guy can get after the QB...

                        Great thread so far

We have none and McCoy needs some tools and Offense wins Championships

I like the Green and Jones thinking. I would also look for a RB because Hardesty has been injured two years in row and we have nothing behind Hillis and his running style makes me think his production will never get any better than this year.

Offense Skill players round 1 and 2 and maybe 3.

If we are staying 3-4 a LB is imperative in round 3 or 4

Hardesty hasn't been injured two years in a row. Granted he has been injured something like 4 out of the past 5 years, but last year he was healthy the whole season. I also wouldn't be surprised if we resigned Bell to a one/two year deal and then we draft a RB in the late rounds.

I can solve all problems, was just thinking....

Trade Cribbs and our next two years 3rd round picks to move up to take Andrew Luck, then trade nexst yrs 1st to move back tin the fisrt round to take Blackman, then in the second round we take the best Defensive Player. Then trade Rogers for our two 3rd round picks back and take the best Running Back. Then trade Colt for a late 3rd and take Clay Matthews

out of all that we would only lose next yrs first...

                              Looks good to me....

                              Then we would have

                              QB-Luck

                              RB-Hillis, Hardesty, and BRA

WR-Blackman, Robo, MoMass, And a VET

                              TE-Watson

You're kidding, right? And your linebackers and DL (sorely deficient) would be WHO? Rubin, Roth, Fujita (who will be 32 next year) and the Three Stooges? That BPA in the second round? Which we won't have, BTW.

                                1) The way McCoy has looked we're not giving up the ranch to draft Luck. 2) Carolina has looked so crappy at qb, there is no way in hell they'll pass on Luck assuming he declares. It would take a Ditka Doofus maneuver to pry him away. You won't get two third rounders for Rodgers either, not even close. You might get a fourth for him. The Browns are still so talent depleted, we need more picks not less. Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers, they have no need for McCoy. To get Matthews from the Pack you'd probably need to give up Hillis AND picks- high ones- (actually Matthews is what you would call an "untouchable".

In the real world, not draft fantasy to pull off your scenario, the Browns are minus Hillis and Cribbs, plus Matthews, and no picks higher than the fourth round for 2011 and 2012. I don't like it- and that's a best case scenario.

I hope you guys watched the OSU Arizona game last night. Blackmon looked awesome, had a 75 yard reception for a TD where he just burned the guy covering him.

The way it looks right now the draft order very well may be:

                                    1. Carolina

2 -4 Buffalo, Cinci, Denver each at 4-11

And tied at 5-10 are Arizona, San Fran, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, and the Browns.

The bad thing is that where there is a tie, the draft order is decided by strength of schedule, i.e. the team having played the weaker schedule gets the higher slot....

Which puts the Browns at the very end, because the Browns have by far played the hardest schedule in the entire NFL,

So that would put them at getting the #10 pick

If they were to win Sunday they would drop even lower. There are 4 teams with 6-9 records.

Nevertheless, I agree with those that say go for front 7 DL. Yes, there offense is one of the worst going, but they are also 26th against the rush. That has to improve.

If the Browns trade Colt, I think they could send him to a warm weather team in need of a QB such as Miami. I mean, honestly, if a QB isn't good enough for Cleveland, how else is he supposed to be good enough for any other NFL team?

It's funny how the perception of a kid can change after one game, good or bad. I saw a poll online asking which team wishes they drafted Tebow. One of the selections was Cleveland. The article actually suggested that Cleveland draft him at #7 instead of Joe Haden. All because he performed adequately against the worst pass defense in the NFL.

You can expect the front office at Cleveland to take a more long term approach to Colt's future. Make no mistake, Colt has won over Holmgren and Mangini both; they'll want him to succeed wherever it is, even if that isn't Cleveland. You can tell they like the kid and want him to succeed.
