It's mindles because this is a Browns board. One that usually takes a specific dislike to outside Steeler participation and has been void of most things Steeler for at least 2 months. I also don't understand why anyone is interested in this story at all. Plenty of pro athletes get married but because Ben apparently decided to stand beside the beliefs of his eventual wife he's chastised for it. I don't really care one way or another and this thread could go 40 pages for all I care. I just find it amusing, especially after all the crying about Steeler fans on your beloved message board. I've been reading the last two months and actually ignored this one for a while. Posted in a few other threads and finally broke down and participated. If you don't think it isn't news, national or otherwise, about BR getting engaged a little over a year after he was accused of rape, and in the offseason after he served a 4 game suspension for his deviant behavior, then you are foolish. I suspect this sort of thing would be TMZ fodder for a month. Why would you think it would NOT be mentioned on a rival team's chat board? We fans could have second guessed every draft pick the Browns have made for the last 40 years. Don't know why you think passing on BR is any more special of a pass than the hundreds of other passes we made.

Dude: He is the QB of the Pittsburgh Steelers. There ain't nothing he can do about revamping his image of that mar on his reputation short of retiring or getting traded.
Anything else he does to demonstrate deviancy is secondary to that particular character flaw.
He could go to the Kansas City Chiefs and become the Marquis de Sade and no one here could care, but being the QB of the Steelers alone is enough to drag him into the dirt.

Note however, that it actually only sits a couple of miles or so outside of the 75 mile radius for Cleveland. It does not sit in the overlap of the team's market area as do Youngstown, Sharon PA, and Columbiana.
Note this also: Meadville PA sits outside the 75 mile radius of both cities, but is actually Slightly closer to Cleveland than it is to Pittsburgh. And Erie PA is outside the 75 mile radius of both cities, and is actually closer to Cleveland than to Pittsburgh....However, it actually lies closer to Buffalo than either Cleveland or Pitts.

Since I grew up in Youngstown and played golf in Castle Hills in New Castle more than once and have been a fan of both the Steelers and Browns since the fifties .............I still find this thread hilarious.
