The Most Hated Group In America?

meh. Not every Christian wants to mingle government and politics. Most Christians are moderate and not radical.

Most Christians aren't in the Tea Party.
And Bunker, not sure what point you're trying to make with the C&L article. It's basically only this paragraph
Sounds like this is the point Democrats should hit over and over again: That this nation was founded on religious freedom (and now includes the freedom not to worship) and we don't need elected officials interfering with that. Once we breach the wall separating church and state, we're no longer America.
Maybe I'm misreading it, but that seems to agree with the point of view from the original article.
And while the public image of the Tea Party focuses on a desire to shrink government, concern over big government is hardly the only or even the most important predictor of Tea Party support among voters.
Right, and I find it hypocritical that they are so vocal about big government, except when it comes to the gays. Government needs to step in and say gays can't marry. Government needs to step in and say we are a Christian nation. It's inconsistent.
-
That's dumb. There is no new gov spending in saying what true marriage is. No new government agency.
Please. I'm being nice in only saying that's "dumb".....
you all are the ones who want government to decide in your favor, vs the status quo.
We know what marriage is, and don't want to live in some warped, perverted "utopia"
by progressive anti-status, anti-American leftist design. The majority of Americans aren't favoring
changing what marriage is. Your point?
-
The poll would be maybe, opposite if it had been conducted on Fox News, right?
I call baloney.
"David E. Campbell, an associate professor of political science at Notre Dame, and Robert D. Putnam, a professor of public policy at Harvard, are the authors of โAmerican Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites Us.โ "

Cal, that link you posted in your other thread (it should really be in this one, we don't need two topics about the same issue), it's from December of 2009. Now, this may come as a surprise to you, but you should know that popularity is not static. Popularity can change with time. The article that I linked to is from August of 2011; three days ago, in fact. The tea party had a bunch of steam awhile ago, but they squandered their opportunity to be taken seriously by coming off as a bunch of religious nuts.
-
You are correct, except it was fun to directly show you that I can post all sorts of polls.
And yes, they change, and the people polled change,
and ....
it doesn't matter. Want me to find a better one? LOL

Bunker said:
Maybe we should legalize gay marriage that way the surviving spouse will have to pick up the medical bills of the deceased after they die from aids. Dont give up hope Trails, soon the 98% of americans who are straight may give in to the bully tactics that all you queens use and let you share that precious moment in some weirded out way in front of an alter and get married.
I don't know whether to find it funny or sad that it's 2011 and you still think AIDS is a disease that only gays get.
-
I can't believe it's 2011, and you want to make this forum a gay perversion rally instead of
criticizing Obamaofor his dramatic failures and anti-America crap. You know, he's our "president"...
-
lol, because gay marriage isn't a political issue. Get real. Politicians are discussing it.
And guess what, Obama has made it clear that people who don't have faith should be included in political discourse.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but them's the breaks.

Change the ugly logo that would be moderate instead of radical

You're right. gay marriage isn't a political issue- it's a legal issue- as to what constitutes a "legal" marriage. Between "persons". Well, go look up your history and find out Native Americans weren't considered "Persons" back when. I'm all for declaring cows & sheep "persons" so you can marry them- that's next on the agenda.

And the legality of the issue is decided by whom? The judicial branch of the government. So, by your logic, the judicial branch of the government isn't a political entity? Is that what you're trying to say?
And the if we let gays marry, then we'll let sheep marry argument needs to stop, it's xxxxing laughable, and you're comparing apples and oranges. One system involves consent between two sentient organisms. The other just allows someone to submit an animal to sex.

Great. now Vaporized is an expert on perversion unions and animal sexual perceptions.
Must be really tough classes in "med science" dude.
When do you graduate from the Liberace Medical School for Animals?
I would bet that given a GENUINE POLL, the most hated group in America, is the group who wants to
legalize the gay "marriage" fraud.
-
And, btw, legal decisions are not political decisions. They are based on the freakin LAW.
That is, unless it's a gay, marxist, corrupt "activist" judge who makes up his/her as they are told..... by the left....
Politicians pass gas, but that doesn't make gas politics.
Judges decide the merits of what they are having new for breakfast, but that doesn't make it law.
Good grief, Vaporized. Do you read "Bizarro" superman comic books at your age?

Sounds like someone didn't graduate their American government class in high school.

Oh. You learned in hs that judges' decisions on breakfast is law?
Idiot.

GGG
Is this how desperately you are going to keep your little ignorant thread alive?
When your "precious" Obamao has a new all-time lowest approval rating? (I think it's 38 percent)
Vaporized translation: "We musn't say nothing bad about our precious-s-s-s-s-s"
