Seneca Wallace Starts, Browns Beat Arizona--What Happens To Colt Mccoy-Poll

The Browns Board
72 20 3.0k
  • if we draft a qb next year, with all the holes we need to fill, then holmgren will be the biggest dumbest dick in nfl history.

  • I would like to add something here. Quarterback talk, for those who have no clue! The Browns have gone from stanky gutless clueless QB's for 10 years to Colt. Guess what maybe Colt is NOT the answer, but he plays with heart and came from winning which is now losing in Texas so that says something about Colt. He has ZERO weapons to work with, three useless running backs and a bunch of WR's who cannot get open and cannot catch

Colt may not be the answer to greatness, BUT IN NO WAY HE IS THE PROBLEM

and IF YOU ARE SO DUMB TO NOT SEE THAT, well quit submitting football analysis and start writing about which toilet paper serves your useless football brain ass best

  • How about this scenario: The Browns again trade down and go from about 8th into the early 20s of the first round, giving them an early 20s pick and a mid 20s pick with their ATL pick. Also, they get a 2d rounder in the mid 20s. That gives them 4 of the top 60 or so picks and they take:

    Zack Brown LB North Carolina

    Michael Floyed WR Notre Dame

    Jonathan Banks CB Miss. St.

    Kirk Cousins QB Mich St.

    What say you all?

  • yes. i agree with rich4dick. colt might not be the answer but he is serviceable. fill the holes. get some weapons. (get a coach) then let's judge him. there are qbs every year in the draft. we need WR, RT, OLB, DE, CB, S, RB etc. etc.etc. etc.

Not a big fan of Brown, and if we have say 5-7 first pick to early for Brown....

Say we do not draft a QB..

Then it will be Richerson or Jefferies with first...

Say Jefferies, Blackmon, Richerson are all gone with our first pick. The Browns will trade down...LOL this Board will explode...LOL

  • All this talk about Colt being good enough is a laugh... Do you guys watch the games? He either throws over the WR's head or at their feet I would rather have DA he had Colts accuracy but at least he had a canon. There was a little hope!

  • I don't know why everybody want us to draft a QB high. We have too many holes to fill to worry about getting a QB. RT,RG,WR,LB,another DE to compliment Sheard, and we still don't know what's going on a RB. Perhaps we can get a good veteran QB in FA to run the offense until we are ready to draft our franchise QB.

Yeah I bet Carolina is so pissed they passed on a RT for Cam Newton.

    Watch this.

    Carolina 2010 passing/total yards ranking............32/32

    Carolina 2011 passing/total yards ranking.............9/6

Tell me another single pick that makes that kind of improvement?

like neo already pointed out.....their record is terrible

having said that....the panthers have a pretty good offensive line already. not only that but they went out and added 2 pro bowl caliber TEs to compliment their already spectacular running game

    carolina needed a QB....the browns dont...HUGE DIFFERENCE

Cam Newton's team has the same record as a team led by Colt McCoy. So you're basically saying that their defense is all to blame for the 4-9 record. Like our 31st rush defense rank has anything to do with our record. Point is that you need a complete team to be competitive and QB alone doesn't do that. We have too many holes to fill to give up on McCoy. If we played better defense, maybe we would have a better record. If our receiver catch the damn ball, maybe we have a better record.

Why are we comparing Cam Newton with Colt McCoy? Cam had a better game in first NFL start than McCoy has in two years.

I love Colt, but he's not on the same page as Newton talent-wise.

    Z

    carolina TEs>browns TEs

    carolina LBs>browns LBs

    carolina OL>browns OL

    Carolina WRs>Browns WRs

you put a #1 overall QB onto a team with more talent and you are going to see better results immediately

its so dumb that QBs get credit for a team doing better when football is the purest team sport in the world

QBs are only one player out of 53

    Tell that to the Colts

QB's are like starting pitchers in baseball, an ace wins games for you single handily.

  • You guys are ridiculous. No one said we are a qb away from the playoffs. But if your saying we can't fill holes and draft a qb with the first pick then your just dense.

If they are so much more talented why did Carolina pick first last draft? You gonna blame that on one player out of 53?

Then you must really be dense not to realize that a young (rookie) quarterback needs the support of a good team to increase his chances of succeeding. No rookie QB is going to come here, with the way the team is, and make an instant impact. It's like this every year with Browns fans. Every quarterback we draft is the next savior of Cleveland football. We have too many holes to fill to draft a quarterback high. We have two first round picks this year that could help close the talent gap. We can get a QB in FA.

  • LOL. If it were up to the fans, they would draft a QB in the first round every year after the one last year failed to take them to the Super Bowl. 😆

Your so off. Top 5 qbs get drafted in the top 5. Those aren't teams that offer great support for rookie qbs.

ur dumb as shit if you think the colts are only losing because of peyton mannings injury

their defense is one of the worst in the league. their team is decimated with injuries...they have absolutely no offensive line

QBs are not like pitchers.....pitchers face individual batters one at a time. they are solely responsible for what happens against an opposing teams offense

pitchers are far more relatable to goalies in soccer or hockey than they are QBs in football

yes a good QB can win you a game....but they cant win games consistantly by themselves....football is a team game
