    It doesn't.

It has a relationship to the Pro Football Hall of Fame though.

As for his NFL resume by itself, here's a list of players who threw for more NFL yards than Warren Moon:

    1. Bret Favre

    2. Dan Marino

    3. Peyton Manning

    4. John Elway

That's it, that's the whole list.

When he retired he was #3, now he's #5

    That's pretty impressive...

    Zombo

And if you add his CFL stats with his NFL stats, he beats out Farve.

  • Now the Jeff Fisher was named HC at St.Louis....I gotta believe RG3 is his guy.

It won't matter. The Rams would take too big of a cap hit to get rid of Bradford and they certainly can't afford both of them. The Rams are stuck with Bradford.

Excatly you have to remember Bradford got his deal before the new NFL deal so he has a ton of money on his contract, it would be virtually impossible to move him..

  • ^ In which case STL trades down with some QB challenged team.

On Moon... very HOF worthy. Watched him for years in Houston. He threw the prettiest deep-ball I've ever seen. Extraordinarily accurate with the deep ball.

    This.

Get rid of myths and stereotypes with this guy.

Both parents in the military, well-traveled and educated.

Has a degree in Political Science from Baylor. Graduated in December, 2010, at age 20. Currently working on his Masters in Communication

    Dean's List.

    Academic All-big 12

Graduated 7th in his High School class.

Yes, Michael Vick is dumb as a box of rocks and had no male role model growing up and it shows. Yes, Vince Young is dull-minded and inaccurate.

That has nothing to do with Robert Griffin.

Warren Moon is in the Hall of Fame and Donovan McNabb played in 5 NFC championship games ... this guy is a better athlete and more polished prospect coming out of college than both of them.

Actually, it might help to not think of him as black and more of a mix of John Elway and Steve Young if that helps.

Yes, he could still fall on face, but it won't be for lack of smarts or discipline.

    Zombo

You keep insinuating its because he's black that people are on the fence about it. I don't think that's really it, football is full of black guys, black quarterbacks are becoming common, I didn't hear anyone bagging on pryor for the bucks, and they wouldn't bag on rg3 for the browns, I don't think hell fall to 4 and we've got too many holes to trade up for him.

  • While I think RG3 is a Jeff Fisher type QB, I don't see Jeff Fisher drafting RG3, because frankly the ownership invested alot in Sam Bradford. I think he has to play Bradford for 1/2 years before reloading a high pick on the QB spot.

Second, I don't think RG3 is a Holmgren type QB. Holmgren wants someone to run the WCO and RG3 may be too mobile for him to fit that prototype. Further, I think Holmgren wants to give Colt another chance with some weapons. I see Cleveland taking a WO or trading down for more picks.

What I loved about Moon was his cannon arm. The guy could throw a what appeared to be a 40 yard pass and the ball never got more than what looked like 8 feet off the ground. When I was a kid, I wanted to be Bernie Kosar but throw like Moon... Horrible state to be in.

  • I think I have resigned myself to this. If RG3 is there at #4 we take him. If he is not, I'm sure whoever is at #4 and we take him it will be a big plus for us. I do not want to sell the farm to get the guy.

  • After yesterday's games, I'm very happy taking Coples at 4 over Richardson.. if anyone wants to give up the farm to grab RG3 or Blackmon at 2 or 3, they can have him.

Next year, we can get a franchise QB wherever we'll draft in the first round due to the glut of good QB's that will be coming out.

If 1/2/3 goes Luck/Blackmon/RG3, I'm happy with either Kalil or Coples.. both will greatly improve our team. I'd go with Kalil because he's more of a sure thing than Coples, but I'll trust the Walrus.

  • I don't often weigh in on many topics. The QB debate on if we should draft yet another QB is one that I cannot stand! I am tired of seeing the Browns bring in QB after QB and not have an offense or any offensive weapons around him. When will the Browns actually realize that the QB cannot do it alone?!

Alex Smith is an example of what can happen to a QB when you actually give him time to develop and put an offense around him. Here are his passing stats for 2005-2007 and then for 209-2011. In 2008, he had no stats.

    05-07 - 435/800 - 54.4% - 4679 yds - 19 TD/31 INT

    09-11 - 702/1159 - 60.6% - 7864 yds - 49/27

And he has led the Niners to the NFC championship game this season as well.

I am not saying that Colt is as good as Smith. But, even at the start of this season, nobody thought Smith would be this good either. Colt may not be the answer here in Cleveland, but I don't think that we should discard him or Seneca, or any other QB for that matter, without building the offense around him and seeing if he's got it or not. If we don't have weapons for Colt, then we don't have weapons for RGIII or any other QB.

  • RG3 has the bigger penis for sure.. I dont even know why were are discussing it.

  • In Colt We Trust - 2012

Colt has his own theme song, awesome.

I think that it must be that our receivers are just to slow for Colt to throw to. 45MPH... with the accuracy... on a boat!

Get Colt some Playmakers on Offense or Upgrade the Defense but stick with Colt. He's the real deal, Colt and Cleveland are a perfect match.

  • Colt looked a lot more beefy in that video where he's throwing to Shipley on the boat... did he lose weight or was that an instance of TV putting 15 pounds on twice?

  • Wow. People arguing Colt McCoy over RGIII.

    I love a good comedy.

    Please... continue...

so if we already have the one guy who in your mind is the same as the other guy, then why use the #4 pick on the other guy?

    am i missing your point?????????

I agree with you. Even the people, like myself, who want to stick with colt and pass on RGIII aren't sold on Colt as a franchise quarterback but realize that the weapons on offense are the Browns most pathetic position groups and we could make the most strides in that regard. Again at that Big 12 agrument, Colt had a prolific career in the Big 12 and has not done much in the NFL, yet you want to take RGIII who has had even less success in the same conference?

Sorry I haven't been around a whole lot recently I've been shifting gears into basketball (my thunder are tearing it up outside of tonight obviously) but when comparing Colt's career in college to RG3's you have to keep in mind what schools they went to. Colt went to Texas, a football powerhouse with tons of talent around him, and RG3 went to Baylor, a team that occupied the bottom of the standings in not only the Big 12 South but the entire Big 12 (the north was awful) for as long as I can remember in my experience watching college ball. Baylor was a joke until RG3 came to town so the comparison between the two is apples and oranges and if anything, RG3's college career is exponently more impressive then Colt's if you look at the impact they had on there respective teams. Now if RG3 played for OU or possibly even OSU (Okla. St.) I could understand saying he had less success. If your going to compare RG3 with any of our current QB's, strictly on college career, he is a more successful Secenca Wallace, who had a pretty good career at Iowa State. They're both athletic QB who can run and who brought a perennial cellar-dweller into national prominence, albeit for only a short time although the book is still out on Baylor. Besides college careers though, there really isn't any comparison between the three. RG3 definitely has the most talent and upside of the three in my opinion.

Here is the problem: you get these Texas schools that produce these QBs with all these gawdy numbers.

Like David Klingler, Andre Ware, Case Keesum, Graham Harrell, Kevin Kolb, even Colt McCoy etcetcetc. and are they are are numbers compilers. They don't make it in the NFL. I am concerned that RGIII is just one of those.

To be honest, I would prefer a Pac 10, Big 10, SEC QB....they seem to have a more proven track record.

  • One reason i gotta say i do like Griffin is the fact that he took Baylor a basically non-football school and turned them into a contender, that takes alot from a person to go into a enviorment that is a losing culture and turn it around...Also makes me think he may have what it takes to come to Cleveland and do good because they have to turn this Franchise around and it will take a strong indiviudal to do just that..Just a Thought

I completely understand where your coming from and I'm by no means attempting to defend any Texas school. I was merely defending RG3 in comparison to Colt in regards to their college careers. Its not fair to compare what was done at Texas with what was done at Baylor.

Honestly I've been going back and forth on RG3 but this argument is definitely one of his major positives. I can't stress how much of a joke Baylor was until RG3 got there. While he was the first recruit signed by Baylor in the Art Briles regime and, while coaching changes obviously have an impact on changing the culture of a program they can't do it all by themselves and you have to have players that buy into it and implement it on the field, something I think we can all agree, that RG3 did quite well. It remains to be seen if that can translate in the NFL but that experience of changing a losing culture certainly won't hurt at the next level.

  • baylor was also a joke in his first 3 seasons there....4-8, 3-9, 7-6, 10-3. lets not act like he was performing miracles. he only started to grasp the system in his 3rd year....one of the simplest systems in college. everyone says he's smart, but as an engineer, i know for a fact that there's a huge difference in book smarts and street smarts. we know he's book smart....but it tool him till his senior year to finally make an impact. demonstration says slow learner...

    but im just a hater...
