How Do You Feel About The Fa So Far?

The Browns Board

  • Same way i was feeling about it last year

    Kool-Aid drinking Zombies

I plan on starting the KADZ Attack for all browns games no need to dress in my doggie shit i'm going ballz out Kool AiD Zombie

  • Not really surprised at our lack of movement in FA. I don't feel real great about this coming year but then again I never feel real great about an upcoming year. At this point if we can get a few legit weapons and a few starters from this years draft I'll feel a bit better. That's a big if of course.

  • I really think this is the last year of this FO. They look like the nerdy kids that are trying too hard for someone to play with them.

    Bad moves

    D. Patterson- WAY over-payed for a below average player

    D. Jackson- Over-payed, but atleast he has production

    B. Schaffering- If he didnt play for the Browns than he wouldnt be in the NFL

    J. Greco- Depth

    J. Parker- Old, undersized, not very productive. Atleast we didnt break the bank.

    No moves

    P. Manning- Im not saying that he would have signed here, but it looks like your happy losing if you say you wont atleast look into it.

    P. Hillis- Letting the most productive offensive weapon we have walk is plain stupid. When he signs for 3 mil to be a back up for a medicore team, the FO needs to resign

    Good moves

    J. Norwood- Best reciever on the team... sad

I have 0 confidence in this FO. They sign 2 backup DEs that will combine for 7 mil against the cap, when we could have signed a proven pass rusher for the same price. (Carter and Abraham)

We have plenty of cap space so these signings wont kill us, but I dont see the commitment to winning that they H&H keep preaching about.

I would argue Evan Moore is the best on the team but having a TD per 6 plays that he was on the fieild total last year doesn't speak volumes to our front office.

  • Our lack of activity in the FA does not surprise me. But the # of holes in the team and the lack of quality is what worries me. This is what year 3 of the Holmgren project? And we are weaker than we started. That is the sign of a team going backwards esp when we are already so back.I dont see progress and that is what worries me. We are shopping smart and bargain shopping but we need quality too. Where is it? I can forgive Holmgren for not finding a QB in his 3 year term, butwe have no QB, no established WR and our TE's are project too. Now our RB is gone. The inability of an offensive minded person to find such vital offensive pieces for three years truly worries me.

If I was a season ticket holder, I would not renew my season ticket. That money can go towards more noble things like charity or beer or women.

  • UNBELEIVABLE letting hillis walk for a 3 MILLION DOLLAR ONE FUCKIN YEAR DEAL omg i want to smash somethin cute just typing that nonsense.

Ok Mike Holmgren. You are the boss.

  • Neither excited nor disappointed with our FA effort so far...

Stud FA's are out for paydays and rings. So we have to first build a reason for them to want to come to CLE. Then they will come.

And you build through the draft.

  • Ill echo tcpo here....

    Just shut the fuck up.

  • Not real happy with what they are doing so far, but I have a feeling they have a real big move in the works right now. What the Browns do or not do does not bother me anymore. If you lower your expections you will never be dissapointed, thasts what I TELL MY WIFE ALL THE TIME. It works she is never dissapointed in me and I am never dissapointed in the Browns. It works!!!! try IT!!!!

If we Browns fans learn to do that, dont u think this forum will be more peaceful? 😉

  • I'm too manly to talk about my feelings.

I don't have feeling because feelings are gay.

  • Not to change the subject but how the hell do the Pats have 2 firsts and 2 seconds and the just signed Brandon Lloyd. I hate this shit so much it makes me sick.

Because the Pats are good. It must be nice.

  • Yep, they have a plan and we are about as blindly run as a professional sports franchise can be run.

  • I heard they signed Anthony Gonzalez too... Bradys gonna make him a star.

  • Like I said... Stud FA's, especially those late in their careers, have made their money. Now they want rings and will take less money for the best chance to get one.

Is there, and has there been, a better chance to get one than in NE?

  • My expectations for FA was to bring in depth and role players at need positions and draft the "stars". The Browns are set up nicely to do just that.

Those that look at the 1st week of FA and make judgements about how the team will perform the following year have no clue how the NFL off-season works.

As teams sign big name FAs, cap casualties usually follow, leaving above average players looking for a place to play. The draft typically wreaks havoc on the veterns too.

I'd look for a couple more moves in FA (still depth players), a big time draft, then a couple more signings/releases. The truth is we have no idea who those players might be.

The off-season is still young. Step away from the ledge.

  • I entirely expect that we will be drafting offense with our first two picks this year. RB/WR or WR/RB. Make any aurgument you want but we are now desperately starved for playmakers with Hillis gone so regardless of how Heckert normally drafts we will be going RB or WR with the #4 overall pick or at least trading back and doing the same thing. The only way he doesn't is if There is a WR RB combo he really likes that he truely believes will fall back to #22 and #37 and just takes Claiborn. Other wise expect us to have either a Richardson/Wright or Hill or Jeffery combo or a Blackmon and Miller combo.
