Ok Mike Holmgren. You are the boss.

  • Neither excited nor disappointed with our FA effort so far...

Stud FA's are out for paydays and rings. So we have to first build a reason for them to want to come to CLE. Then they will come.

And you build through the draft.

  • Ill echo tcpo here....

    Just shut the fuck up.

  • Not real happy with what they are doing so far, but I have a feeling they have a real big move in the works right now. What the Browns do or not do does not bother me anymore. If you lower your expections you will never be dissapointed, thasts what I TELL MY WIFE ALL THE TIME. It works she is never dissapointed in me and I am never dissapointed in the Browns. It works!!!! try IT!!!!

If we Browns fans learn to do that, dont u think this forum will be more peaceful? 😉

  • I'm too manly to talk about my feelings.

I don't have feeling because feelings are gay.

  • Not to change the subject but how the hell do the Pats have 2 firsts and 2 seconds and the just signed Brandon Lloyd. I hate this shit so much it makes me sick.

Because the Pats are good. It must be nice.

  • Yep, they have a plan and we are about as blindly run as a professional sports franchise can be run.

  • I heard they signed Anthony Gonzalez too... Bradys gonna make him a star.

  • Like I said... Stud FA's, especially those late in their careers, have made their money. Now they want rings and will take less money for the best chance to get one.

Is there, and has there been, a better chance to get one than in NE?

  • My expectations for FA was to bring in depth and role players at need positions and draft the "stars". The Browns are set up nicely to do just that.

Those that look at the 1st week of FA and make judgements about how the team will perform the following year have no clue how the NFL off-season works.

As teams sign big name FAs, cap casualties usually follow, leaving above average players looking for a place to play. The draft typically wreaks havoc on the veterns too.

I'd look for a couple more moves in FA (still depth players), a big time draft, then a couple more signings/releases. The truth is we have no idea who those players might be.

The off-season is still young. Step away from the ledge.

  • I entirely expect that we will be drafting offense with our first two picks this year. RB/WR or WR/RB. Make any aurgument you want but we are now desperately starved for playmakers with Hillis gone so regardless of how Heckert normally drafts we will be going RB or WR with the #4 overall pick or at least trading back and doing the same thing. The only way he doesn't is if There is a WR RB combo he really likes that he truely believes will fall back to #22 and #37 and just takes Claiborn. Other wise expect us to have either a Richardson/Wright or Hill or Jeffery combo or a Blackmon and Miller combo.

    Good reply.

  • The bottom line is, and everyone knows it, is that we need a playmaking WR to go opposite the young and learning Greg Little. We also need a stud Runningback that can be a 3 down back, one that can be a legit weapon and can tote the rock, someone capable of being inside the top 10 for RBs next year. I personally like the Richardson/Wright combo. I think Blackmon/Miller would be nice as well but I feel that Cincy would take Miller at 17 if hes still there, plus if they don't take him 17 they will take him just before we draft at 22.

Richardson would be our best bet for a legit running game. Then at 22 you solidify the Oline or draft the best possible WR available and address the other at 37.

Is there any chance that the Bucs would drop down to the 22 and let us own the number 5 so that we could draft Blackmon/Richardson? It would be like the Atl trade from last year but I feel a trade like that would certainly help us.

I dont see the Bucs doing that. Either WR or RB or OT - One of them needs to come via FA and they need to be proven. Even if we draft solid picks, it will take time for them to become good - 2 seasons atleast to see if most of the draft picks we got are good.

  • I feel some teams are actively seeking ways to improve their teams and we are acting like we are the defending Super Bowl Champs willing to stand on our record.
